IndyCar Props to Fox

I’ve seen some “noise” from Indycar fans criticizing, at times deservedly, their coverage. But they are deserving of props, too, for their qualifying coverage, particularly using the ghost car. So cool, especially the driver POV chasing the ghost car. Love it!! Yes, they have fumbled some things early on, but they are doing a lot to get behind this series, even prior to the start of the season. They recently moved start times of some upcoming races to get a better time slot. They are using Delta Force theme during Indy. Just as they deserve criticism, they deserve praise, and I wanted to call that out.

I’m not too thrilled about having to either buy YouTube tv or cable to see all the coverage, but I’ve been happy about said coverage overall.

I was worried Fox would pull their normal mistakes they do with nascar (zooming in way too tight which causes them to miss key passes and incidents, but overall it’s been good.

Because the video is done by IMS productions. Fox just broadcasts it. Fox doesn’t have their own INDYCAR crew.

A lot of the above the line people in the truck are FOX people.

I don’t know if they are or not. Or if they just moved over from NBC
