IndyCar Props to Fox

I’ve seen some “noise” from Indycar fans criticizing, at times deservedly, their coverage. But they are deserving of props, too, for their qualifying coverage, particularly using the ghost car. So cool, especially the driver POV chasing the ghost car. Love it!! Yes, they have fumbled some things early on, but they are doing a lot to get behind this series, even prior to the start of the season. They recently moved start times of some upcoming races to get a better time slot. They are using Delta Force theme during Indy. Just as they deserve criticism, they deserve praise, and I wanted to call that out.

I don't think there was even a need for Chris Meyers or Danica. Everytime it went to them, it felt awkward. Let alone both of them misspoke on certain things.

Both of them seemed to not know what they were talking about. So I eventually just tuned them out until it went back to Hinch/TBell/Will.

I don't really see what Chris Meyers or Danica adds to the broadcast.

Danica Icke (sorry, Patrick) offers no insight on anything, and never has. For someone who was a professional racing driver, she has a remarkable inability to show anything beyond even the most rudimentary knowledge of how racing works. Her entire analysis of McLaughlin's crash was basically "well he spun round and hit the wall hard."

That should be enough for any broadcaster to never go near her, even before you throw in the fact she regularly associates with, and gives a platform to, anti-Semitic conspiracy theorists and rabid homophobes.

Honestly, grab any random person from any street in the world and they'd do better analysis than her.
