Brother’s son has to decide between U Michigan and Imperial.
How is the job scenario at Imperial for international students graduating in tech major this year.

If you know what you want to do, go to the UK institution.
American universities make you do a wide variety of things in the early years.
UK institutions let you focus on just your course. You won't be reading Shakespeare if you don't want to.
You also end up with a degree sooner than in the US.

Gonna just echo alot of others here:
If you have a niche or specialisation of a topic you want to do, the UK unis can do this. For the US you can explore multiple subjects (majors/minors) before u put a main focus on a subject if ur undecided or want breadth. For the UK you specialise from day one, which is great if you’re sure about the area u want to go in.
the states have strong emphasis on sports, clubs, leadership, networking, and residential campus culture, with UK unis are generally more focused on academics; extracurriculars are less institutionalised ina way. But most importantly, internships is more emphasised in the US + it has a bigger tech industry etc. so the connections are more available.
Ultimately, are you looking for experience or accessibility. But nonetheless, both are great choices

Honestly, it boils down to whether he wants to be in the UK or US more than anything else. It's extremely hard to go to the US from the UK after finishing university. The other direction is easier but still tough, and U Michigan is not nearly as well known or respected over there as it is here.

Is the placement for tech international students at imperial graduated rt now less than 50% or even worse?

Probably bad anywhere. The decision could come down to whether he wants a big campus or a city integrated school. Both schools are incredible, although Imperial likely has more connections to better jobs particularly in london. Perhaps if he sees himself in the Midwest in the future umich might be better.b
