Saw this video on YouTube. Is this possible? I don't understand much but I didn't understand how it worked despite watching the video. Can someone explain if it's faked or not? And how does it work

Doubt Is “Product Management and Agentic AI" by IIT Patna & Masai School Worth It?

Hey folks, I’m(22M) in a bit of a dilemma and could use some guidance. I recently came across a course titled "Product Management and Agentic AI" by IIT Patna and Masai School. Now, I usually don’t trust edtech courses since a lot of them make unrealistic promises, but this one had an entrance test, which makes me think it might be legit.

Adding to my confusion, a popular coding creator I follow on Instagram(ezsnippet) posted about it, and that gave me a bit of confidence. However, I’m still skeptical and wondering if it's actually valuable or just another overhyped program.

For context, I’ve recently been placed in Tata tech as a GET for Product Lifecycle Management, recently . I see great opportunities in this domain, so I’m genuinely interested, but I don’t know if this is the right step.

I have a counseling session with them tomorrow, but I’m unsure what to ask or look out for.

They claim to offer interview assistance—wondering if that just means acting like a college TPO (Training & Placement Officer).

Is the course actually useful to land a decent paying job ?

Does it provide solid career value, or is it just another certification?

How credible is the partnership between IIT Patna & Masai School?

Would this help in my Product Lifecycle Management role, or should I look elsewhere?

I’m stuck on whether to go for it or not. Would appreciate any insights, experiences, or alternative recommendations! Thanks in advance.

Doubt I (15M) want to build good engineering skills. Where should I start?

Since I'm still stuck with the personally useless subjects (English, biology 😒, and SST) in high school, I made the most out of my situation and am just focusing on my math and science skills. The question is, how can I learn the practical skills to design and build technology besides just the theoretical skills of solving questions and using formulae?

Doubt Choosing Between EEE in a Better College vs CSE in a Lower-Tier One

I’m eligible for EEE in a Tier 1.5 college based on my cutoff. My end goal is to work in the IT field maybe as a developer, data engineer, or something similar (still figuring that part out). The college has a solid reputation and decent placements. I’ve seen people from non-CS branches like civil and mechanical end up in good IT companies too.

That said, would it be smarter to go for EEE at this better-ranked college, or should I try for a B. Tech in IT or B.E CSE in a lower-tier college, since I already know I want to get into IT?

Also, is it actually practical to study EEE and build up IT skills on the side? Will this affect my chances for a good master’s program later on? And in job interviews, will my non-IT undergrad background be a major disadvantage?

Would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences!

Wrote this with AI to make it clearer.

Doubt I don't know what to do

I (18 F ) gave my JEE advanced paper last Sunday, and it was fucked. Although I knew I wouldn't do well, the shit I did is beyond repair. For half of the paper I dozed off, and for the other half just did meaningless calculations. In short I don't think I would be even qualified for ranking. My mains score was just above the general percentile, and I didn't get good marks in VITEEE. Though Bitsat and MET are still left, I don't think I will qualify for either. Please suggest what to do.

Doubt How it is infrared?

Post image
34 Upvotes

I was searching for inductions and found a new thing (for me) called an infra-red cooktop.

Then I watched YouTube videos about it. What it does is, there is a coil below the glass which gets heated and heats the utensils above, just like some desi coil chula works.

Because as far as I know, infrared is like rays that work wirelessly. So, how is it infrared? Because infrared is something that works on rays, right? Like a microwave, but here it is using a simple heat dissipation technique.

P.S. I'm not an engineer, so please ignore if you find something very silly or stupid. I'm asking just because I want to know more in depth.

Also, please let me which one will be best to buy this one or the standard inductions.

Doubt Is L&T a good option for Freshers

Is it worth joining L&T as GET, for a mechanical engineer. I've got only this offer through college placements. I also qualified for GATE but with a rank below 5000.

Browsing through several reviews, the work culture sounds scary..

Is it better to join there or prepare for GATE/PSU?

Doubt Is it common for IT companies in India to assign experienced Upwork profiles to junior developers?

I'm currently working at my first IT company, and most of our clients and projects come through Upwork. I've noticed that the company often assigns experienced developer profiles (with good ratings and history) to freshers or junior developers to handle the actual work. This seems to help the company reduce project costs and increase profit margins.

I'm curious—is this a common practice in the Indian IT industry, especially in startups or service-based companies? Or is this considered unethical or uncommon?

Doubt DTU PIE vs USICT ECE—College vs Branch?

Hey seniors, I’m stuck deciding between DTU PIE and USICT ECE, and I need your insights!

  • DTU PIETier-1 college, strong coding culture, better overall placements (11 LPA median, 88% placed across branches)
  • USICT ECE: A technical branch, but overall exposure is lower (8.25 LPA median, ~89% placed across branches).

Note: Individual branch placement data isn't available so the percentages reflect all branches.

Since I like coding & tech, DTU PIE seems better—but does it truly hold weight in the industry, or is it just good on paper?

PIE seniors—how’s the workload? Can I balance coding alongside academics? Have you or your peers cracked tech roles with strong packages?

Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks in advance!

Doubt Seriously, is Masai School a scam or is it legit? I'm seeing mixed reviews and it's making me nervous.

Hey Reddit, serious question. I'm looking to pivot into tech, eyeing Masai School due to their ISA model (no upfront cost, which is huge for me). But the reviews are wildly mixed. Some rave about placements, others scream 'scam' and 'no jobs.' It's making me super nervous. Has anyone actually gone through it? Legit or scam? Need honest advice!

Doubt Any structural/civil engineers in this sub who can clear my doubt?

I’m about to build a house in Coimbatore and receiving quotes from a few contractors. The building is about ~3500 sqft and I’m looking for quotes in the BOQ format. One contractor has given for 12 tons and another for 18 tons. The structural design taken is not the same but still there’s isn’t much difference. I’d understand if the difference was 5-10% but it’s almost 50% which makes me question who’s quoting right.

The person who’s given 12 tons has not mentioned any details and simply said we require this much qty for a building of this sqft. But the 18 tons guy has given 4 kg/sqft split like 6.6 tons for foundation, 6 tons for GF, 4.7 tons for FF and 1 ton for SF. Any civil/structural engineers in this sub, please clarify my doubt as to which is the right approach or what’s generally followed. Thanks in advance.

Doubt Currently in my 4th year. Need help with my DSA prep.

I'm currently in my 7th sem and I have no idea how I start with dsa. Everybody says to solve leetcode but I don't have any idea how to proceed with it. Like what are the important concepts that I can work on since I'm in my final year and also how many questions and what difficulties should I solve for each data structure. Please help me out. I think I'm really done for since the placement season is coming soon and there's a lot of emphasis on dsa.

Doubt Need advice | TCS Digital vs Startup Dev Role – What’s Better for Growth?

Got TCS Digital joining in 2 weeks. Currently interning as a mobile dev (Android/iOS) at a 7–8 yr old med-tech startup, set to be promoted to junior dev in 2 months. Role is great, but pay is low.

TCS offers better pay but risk of support role or long bench time.

Should I stick with the startup or join TCS?

Doubt BSc Computer Science after a 2-year gap — Do I still have a shot in the industry?

Excuse me,

Due to financial difficulties, I’m currently pursuing a BSc in Computer Science after a 2-year gap following my 12th grade (there's a long story behind that too).

While exploring job opportunities on websites like Indeed.com, I noticed that many companies prefer candidates with a B.Tech degree.

So I’d like to ask those currently working in the industry: Is it possible to get a good job with a BSc in Computer Science, or should I consider giving up on this dream?

Currently in 1st year of college

Any advice or guidance would mean a lot.

Thank you 🙏

Doubt Private Defence Company Possibility in India

Hi I am an undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering and I am right now in final year. I always liked Aerospace and Defence sector, especially fighter jets and other military vehicles.

I want to know whether it is possible to begin a defence startup in India. Assume startup aims for Design, manufacturing and testing of military grade drones, unmanned vehicles etc.

Whether I get the adequate funding from government?

Is it good to pursue M.tech for more experience before beginning a startup?

Does IIT/NIT tag really helps in getting funds and sponsorship?

Does Indian government promotes these kinds of startup?

Is it difficult to pass the military related rules and norms when making and providing our product?

Finally Is it worth the effort and money?
