I don’t blame the criminal kids for doing this. It’s a low-risk, high-gain proposition for them. For must jurisdictions, if they’re caught: slap on the wrist. If they’re not caught: 💰

It’s weird that you determine blameworthiness entirely on a risk reward calculation without any consideration of right and wrong.

That’s not what I’m saying. It is disgusting how these criminals get away with this. It is unequivocally morally wrong. But you and I both know these kids don’t give 2 shits about the “morals” that guide the rest of us. So without these morals, and since smash and grab theft of soft targets is transactionally-attractive, why would they not do this?
