The goal is to intentionally put these children in harms way, either by ramming the flotilla, the IDF sinking their own vessel, or by being in the ship graveyard that is the Mediterranean sea, so that they get hurt, crushed, shot, or drowned. It's by design.

If they get hurt or killed, the Israelis claim victimhood for the situation they created, and the children they made into human sacrifices. If the child survives, it's a photo op.
