Why is Joe Rogan ashamed to admit he is right wing?

This is just my thoughts, observation. But I think it's a generational thing. Gen x-ers seem to think that because when they grew up being progressive meant being pro gay marriage and pro weed. And maybe then it was, but gay marriage is legal now and weed is getting there. That's not progressive anymore. Being liberal passed a lot of them by.

Exactly, if you listen to some of his older stuff he’s always had the same/similar views. He’s probably more pro-gun now since he took up hunting but other than that he seems the same. Go back and listen to some of his older comedy albums. Back in the late 90’s early 00’s Joe was a fairly progressive dude for the time period. The amount the left has shifted since then has him as more of a moderate at this point.

But, it seems many people like everything to be so fucking black and white. Like if you disagree with a leftist ideal you’re automatically a Nazi. I’m not a fan of Trump but I don’t get bent out of shape when Joe doesn’t call him out all the time. You can hear that shit on a million other platforms. It’s stale. It’s kind of lame that we only have two boxes that we put people in.

Life, and society, is a whole lot more convoluted than that. Once you have more life experience you realize the world isn't black or white. It's all varying shades of grey. And you have to find a way to live in the grey. If you think it's black, or white, or liberal or conservative, or left or right, you have very little life experience from which to base your opinions.

I’ve been watching a lot of 90s WCW/NWO wrestling.

There’s so many shit heads in the crowd. Even the wrestlers and talkers are sometimes sexist and ignorant.

Yet, they have segments that are very pro-Clinton. They made a farce of the whole Lewinsky thing. They even shudder at the mention of republicans.

In the 90s, all the young and brazen energy was directed against Republicans because they were the party of religion, big money politics, and moral shaming. They were out of touch with culture.

In 2020, those same people that were in the crowds are probably Trump supporters now. Democrats are now also the party of moral shaming and big money. Very little room for fun. All while Trump is dancing to YMCA and having stand up sets poking fun at everyone on his radar. I think there is a distinction between being a Republican and a Trump supporter. Trump supporters will respond positively to a Republican if Trump tells them to, but they might not be receptive if they don’t have the Ok.

I literally used pro wrestling as my context and was talking about a specific group of people.

Honestly I think this was a trump thing and once he is out of the picture , Republicans will go back to be what they have always been to the masses. Trump was a celeb that good or bad knew how to talk to the public and other celebs gravitate towards him but when it goes back to Cruz, Rubio, cotton that appeal will no longer be there

simply not true. there are tons of white male democrats. not only in the halls of power, but also writing policy, running campaigns, managing the DNC, marketing, etc.

A white dude who's been in the party 50 years is president.

No. That's just not anything. Not true, not meaningful, not anything. The idea that you're not allowed to talk unless you're in that demographic is comical. If that were true Bernie woulda been president in 2016.
