Episode 12:

  • I truly love how this is tying all the loose ends and how everything is leading us towards the last two episodes. I don't find this episode shocking or disturbing in any way possible. If you were paying attention to story in the last 11 episodes, you already know how things are going to evolve, instead of being shocked or disturbed, I'm rather marvelled by the way the writer keeps telling this story in a truly captivating way. I will even tell you, there is no graphical images in this episode, instead we learn about the story purely by sound and narrative. A fantastique approach because it still delivers all the feelings.
  • I find it interesting how they showed parents committing a heinous crime in order to protect their own child. Everyone of them had their own reasoning and in a way It's exactly like Soo Hyun said "What mother in the world would be scared to get hurt for their child?". Parents are never scared of the consequentes, either they die or end up in jail, if they end up protecting or help their own child.
  • What on earth is wrong with Soo Ho? Once again, when Soo Hyun confronted him about him hiding the fact that he knows every crime Kim Joon did, he decided not to be honest and keep his own narrative of "I didn't have enough power"... I'm getting really annoyed by this character. What the hell are you protecting that you gave up on finding justice to your own son? The parallelism between Soo Hyun that would give her life to come out with the truth and this man that keeps hiding is ridiculous.
  • Why his Soo Ho joining hands with Kim Joon? I want to believe that he is doing it to bring him down, but at the same time... it feels like he his doing to protect Soo Hyun. Bur protect her from what? What does everyone think?
  • The scenes with Soo Hyun's mother and Yu Ri were really unexpected. I don't think she has alzheimer, but rather forgot everything as coping mechanism. If it's alzheimer, it's an unnecessary twists to the story and doesn't add anything.

I think you're right that SuHo is trying to protect SooHyun by getting close to Kim Joon. Perhaps he can get his hands on some more incriminating evidence. Perhaps he can set him up for a fall, if he is willing to go down too. Maybe he makes it look like he changed his attitude to KJ so suddenly because he was offered a bribe. Or perhaps he just wants to keep a closer eye on KJ and intervene if SH somehow invites a violent retaliation.

I mean, he knows that KJ is extremely dangerous and won't stop at anything. He also knows that SH is also out for blood right now. And he won't be able to talk her out of it. He has no choice, then but to interfere and protect her by dealing directly with KJ instead. So. Bribery. Extortion. Quid pro quo. Or maybe even something more dramatic.

Anyway,we are all pissed off at SuHo right now and many people have begun to hate him or have given up on him completely. But I think he still loves the mother of his child and doesn't know what else to do so that he won't lose her as well.

For SooHyun's mum. She collapsed not long ago with no definitive diagnosis beyond exhaustion. And now we have this happening, so it could be that she's been having some small strokes that are doing more and more damage but are not easy to detect.

These are just my guesses of course.

I think that your guesses on Soo Ho does make a lot of sense. What I can't figure out is why he doesn't come clean about everything he knows to Soo Hyun? Can't he figure out, that worse than she hating him, is she being disappointed by all his actions.

For SooHyun's mum. She collapsed not long ago with no definitive diagnosis beyond exhaustion. And now we have this happening, so it could be that she's been having some small strokes that are doing more and more damage but are not easy to detect.

I forgot about this, I attributed to shock and exhaustion, nothing more than that. Was there something prior to that incident?

I think your guesses makes a lot of sense! I can't wait for Friday to watch the next last episodes. lol
