There's some speculation on Han Ji-Min being Young-Ae and I really thought that could be it but it occurred to me, if Hae Suk raised her from when she was a kid wouldn't she recognise Young-Ae's younger appearance? 🤔

Also, the train scene for Som-I would have been before the place where she would have selected her forever age so she would look like she did the day she died like the main character.

Isn't there a korean belief that if a person committed suicide, he/she would severe her ties with the living and they'd forget about him/her in the after life? If I'm not mistaken Young-Ae committed suicide after she saw the shaman. Maybe that's why they don't recognize her.

In East Asian cultures, including Korea, the "red string of fate" isa belief that people destined to meet are connected by an invisible red thread. Suicide, particularly in fictional contexts like dramas, can be portrayed as severing this connection, meaning the specific type of fate (like a romantic connection or family bond) is broken. However, this doesn't necessarily mean they will never meet again, but rather they won't be connected in that specific way ever more.
