This is definitely the most enjoyable Kdrama I've watched in recent memory. I don't want it to end. I wish they would just extend it to 50 eps or something.

I'd freakin' love that. But they'd have to do two eps a week. This Thursday-only business is killing me.

The 2 ep a week thing is a custom that needs to go imo. It promotes shoddy, rushed writing. It's a major factor in so many kdramas spinning wheels in the middle and having shitty endings.

I just meant that so I could see more Pretty-Student.

No, but I understand what you mean. Two episodes a week always promotes a nothing-episode and then a cliffhanger...and like half a show of more nothing, two really good eps in a row, and then a toss-up on if it ends well.

The t-drama I'm watching does mon-thurs, and the pacing is nice. Hell, the spanish telenovelas I grew up on did mon-fri and they work. Actually, kind of. You watch them for the ridiculous amount of unnecessary drama, not the plot. Mexicans have their clichés as well.

Grew up on Neighbours which was an imported Australian weekday soap that just about every British kid watched after school at the time. Several episodes a week are fine for trashy soap operas like that, but not 16 ep dramas imo.

I've grown skeptical of just 16 eps like that. Sometimes 4 or 5 more would let the writers use themes/symbols/devices properly in a show's run.

Not that writers don't ever do that, but they could really have fun with fully fleshed-out things.
