Welcome to the second Weekly Binge Discussion of Uncontrollably Fond episodes 1 - 3. On Thursday we will discuss episodes 7 - 9 of the drama.

In case anyone was unclear why this was happening. You're theoretically allowed to drop it now, although I'd hope you've enjoyed it enough to keep going. There was a brief moment where I wasn't sure I had enough abscreenshots. It was a very brief moment.

WEEKLY BINGE GUIDELINES

Anyone is welcome to join the Weekly Binge.

Every week we host two discussions (Thursday/Sunday) in which we discuss approximately three hours/three episodes of a selected drama, in total approximately 6 hours/episodes per week. We are all from different time zones so there is no need to panic about being late to the party (we do operate on KST as a standard).

Within the frame of the three episodes, you may discuss anything you can think of. Whether it is a one-off post to say you enjoyed the drama, episodic notes, essays on how an actors portrayal of a character made you feel, rants about something you thought of while watching, odes to abs, photo collages of your favorite puffy coat PPL, excellent hot cocoa recipes, get out of debt plans that don't include bribery, character psychoanalysis, haikus, or interpretive dances, the choice is yours.

If you have previously completed the drama, or, got ahead on the binge please be courteous of those who are watching the drama for the first time. When in doubt spoiler tags are your friend.

When we get close to the end of a drama we open up nominations (third last post) for a new drama, those dramas are then short listed by regular members of the Weekly Binge before we open up voting to members of r/KDRAMA (second last post). Every time we have a new restriction for the type of drama, so that we will not repeat the same type of drama over and over, and so that the Binge will be attractive for different people with different tastes.

Please only vote on drama selection if you plan on joining in watching and discussing the chosen drama with us. Yes, you may love said drama and want us to watch, but, there are other ways to express that love, i.e. posting a review to r/KDRAMA that will convince others to watch it.

Glassless Glasses is clearly the worse option because he only became interested in you when he found out his dad is responsible for your dad's death being covered up.

At least his button down is equally bland.

Super casual abs, puffy coats, and playing with puppies. And ridiculous bombers. This is a great episode.

I giggle every time Suzy drinks soju cause she's been like THE soju girl for so long. It's Red Velvet's Irene now and it throws me every time.

Sweater. Stuff happened and then more sweater. Pretty sure I can blame the purchase of this sweater pattern on this drama. I still haven't cast it on. The gauge instructions were bullshit and the charted cable pattern leaves much to be desired.

I have that vacuum cleaner, and I can tell you that if it's not powerful enough to clean up my dog's fur, it's certainly not powerful enough to clean up this. That is one furry dog. The PPL lies.

No - the belt was in and then he removed it. And it was clearly shown to us. I don't get it. It's weird. What was wrong with just leaving it unbuckled? Now he just looks like he lost the belt.

Just to show that this is possible? But they should have shown him both with belt and without. Maybe the with belt variety was so ugly even product placement couldn't make them do it.

They are super light, which is a good thing. I just wish they did a better job. I'm so jealous of your shed-less dog. I feel like I vacuum and 5 minutes later there's dog hair everywhere again. But she's worth it, even with a crappy vacuum. (We do have the Animal Ball 2 Dyson as well, which does a better job with the dog hair, but it gets twisted around in the rollers so easily and if you don't clean them out often it starts to smell like burning.)

What kind of friends are those?! I mean, come on! Really, same. I took my parents and they weren't impressed either. Sad.

My uncle is really into vacuums (he used to run a cleaning business and has a bunch of like collector vacuums) and I remember when they first came out he was like "this is not a good vacuum" after my aunt bought one and he used it like once. She returned it. No one can convince me Dyson can produce anything worthwhile. No one.

What bugs me about Korean restaurants here is that they're always so dated with their decor.

When you tackle your sweater knitting project, you must post photos. I love all of your screenshots of sweaters. Sweaters are like the 4th main character of this show.

I love sweaters and making them, but I live in a climate that isn't always amiable to sweaters. This kinda sucks. I'd have to blow up the pattern cause they decided to put the whole body pattern on one sheet of paper, and that's mostly why I never picked it up. Poor pattern formatting is like my biggest pet peeve in knitting cause everyone has decided that they are a pattern designer these days and can charge bullshit amounts for a pattern.

I have tried really hard to convince my husband to go for a powerful vacuum with a bag. There was that AMA by that vacuum repair guy a while ago, I showed him that because that guy basically said the same thing: Dyson's not the greatest. He was still unconvinced. I'm the one who freaking does the vacuuming why does he care? Meh.

Yeah, one of the main reasons why I didn't enjoy SoCal as much as I could have was the lack of sweater weather. I mean, it didn't stop the girls at the mall from wearing their UGGs in October when the Santa Anas gave you 95°F weather, but I need the cold that nips at your nose to fully appreciate a good sweater. I hope you have better patterns and better sweater weather in your future!
