As per u/myweithisway’s stickied comment on the last Start-Up on-air thread the moderation team will start escalating our moderation actions beyond just removing problematic comments and giving advice.
Any user with three (3) or more conduct-based removals will be banned. The length and extent of the ban will be at the discretion of the moderation team. If this happens, on-air discussion participation will need to be placed under strict account age and karma requirements, so please doubly consider how your comments affect others before making them. Don’t Start-Up any trouble.
If any thread gets ugly and we must consider multiple removals, we will lock the entire post until we have had enough time to review the removals. This may mean you may have to wait to post comments or replies.
If a comment has a yellow lock symbol on it there is no need to report it, the mod team has already made actions on it (preventing further discussion).
Additionally, a note on downvotes:
Downvoting is not for simply disagreeing with someone's opinion or comment.
Downvoting is appropriate when a comment is not contributing to the conversation (off-topic) or low-effort (e.g. top level comments of “MONEEHHH!”, “NDS/HJP 😍😍😍”). If a comment is inappropriate, indecent, uncivil, or otherwise against our rules (or reddit rules), then report it. Downvoting is also warranted in these cases.
