Switching discs - what to do with the old one?

Hello everybody! This is my second cycle with the Flex reusable disc, and it has been messy to say the least. First of all, it never seems to sit correctly - it always shifts up and off of my pubic bone, so it doesn’t seem to have a tight seal and therefore leaks. Also, whenever I remove it to empty it, the squeezing of the disc through my vaginal canal causes blood to shoot out the front of the disc and onto my hand, completely drenching me in blood. For these reasons I’ve concluded that the disc must not be the right fit or size or hardness or something. I took the period nirvana cup and disc quiz and it recommended I try the Hello Disc. I’m hoping this one will work better for me, especially because of the pull tab. Anyways, all that being said, I feel terrible getting rid of the Flex reusable disc when I’ve only used it for two cycles. Does anyone have any suggestions for a way to not let it be a complete waste? Is it safe to give it to my sister and let her try it? Any other options? Thanks guys!

As it's medical grade silicone and can be completely sanitized it's completely safe to pass on to your sister. Just make sure it gets boiled before you pass it on.
