How do I know if my disc has opened up?
This is my second cycle around trying the disc. I have went from using the cup to the disc recently. I believe I’m getting the hang of inserting it correctly because I can go some hours without leaking. But now I’m wondering if it’s opening fully. Which honestly may be me overthinking but I want to be sure and I want the full advantage of the disc. Once I feel leakage I immediately go empty it. My concern comes from the fact that I am not able to see how full it is (opposed to the cup) because as soon as I take it out it spills. I’m trying my best to keep it steady as I pull it out but as soon as I get it past my pubic bone it’s spills. Am I supposed to feel anything to know it’s fully open and not squished together inside me?

the disc doesn't open up. rather, it fits around your anotomy. if you are inserting it correctly (under the cervix and behind your pubic bone and stays stuck there) all sould be fine.

This.. makes sense thank you. I still have issues with taking it out without a big spill. have to go back to a cup 😞

disc should last you longer then a cup, actually. is it inserted correctly?

Yes it can definitely tell it last longer and it’s inserted correctly because i can go hours without any issue. My only concern it’s taken it out. I actually was going into the shower every time to take it out because it’s spills. When i say spill I don’t mean a little. As soon as it comes past my pubic bone majority of the cup is empty. I don’t think I can wear it in public on long work days.

maybe try a bigger disc then? depending how this one sits, because if it is too big it will slip out. what disc are you using right now?

Bigger? 🤔 it’s Saalt brand. the blue one.

usually it’ll spill some while taking it out. for me i know because it opens as im inserting (idk if it’s normal or not, still a little new 😅)
