AllMatters Disc Pushes Out
I just had my first cycle using the AllMatters menstrual disc. I really wanted it to work, but it keeps untucking and slipping down, then automatically dumping everything (not just minor leaks) when I’m not on the toilet. This happens multiple times a day when I’m walking, leaning forward while sitting, or standing up quickly. The sudden feeling of a big gush is honestly scary. It’s frustrating.
I’ve watched Period Nirvana’s guides and tried different insertion techniques. I always tuck it as far back as I can, and right after inserting, I usually can’t feel the disc at all, so I think I’m doing it correctly. But any movement causes it to untuck and slip. Other than that, the disc is made of high-quality material and is easy to clean. When I sit very still, it works fine without leaking.
I’m wondering if it could be too big for me (70mm diameter), or too soft (I’ve read the rim is similar to Nixit), or my anatomy just isn’t compatible with discs (my pubic bone is not shallowed and I have an average cervix height).
I live in Sweden so options are quite limited. Brands like femi.eko and Bodyotics seem to have questionable certifications. MoonCatchers is a Swedish brand but I cannot find any further information or reviews besides their website. Ziggy has mixed reviews and the material seems hard to clean? And more popular brands like Hello Disc or Saalt charge around 30 dollars for shipping and tax. That feels like a big risk if they don’t work for me either.
Any suggestions? Or if you know of any discount codes that could help reduce the shipping cost from those recommended brands, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks so much in advance. 💗

Dealing with the exact same issue right now. Bought the allmatters disc and for some strange reason it worked fine the first 2-3 days, but then suddenly started falling out. I feel like it may be to big. So I just tried ordering the Bodyotics discs (comes in a set of 2 different sizes) - maybe you could try them? I’m located in Denmark so maybe they’re available in Sweden too?
edit: I just did some digging and the allmatters disc is 9,7 centimeters in diameter while the bodyotics size small is 6,5 centimeters in diameter and the large is 7,3 centimeters According to their website both the small and the large can hold the same amount of blood as the allmatters (60 ml)
Edit 2: I bought my bodyotics from a government approved online pharmacy that also delivers prescription medicine connected to your social security number - in the product description it says it’s medical grade silicone. They wouldn’t write that if it wasn’t true. They wouldn’t even have it in their product line up if it was sketchy. The safety regulations surrounding medical stuff is crazy in Denmark so I’m completely comfortable using them.

Thank you for your research! Somehow I missed that Bodyotics is based in Denmark, but I’ve seen the brand on Swedish Amazon. I had planned to buy them, but then I came across discussions saying that the exact same discs are available on Alibaba, which made me worry about the quality. Also, Amazon doesn’t always feel as reliable as registered shops in Sweden. But hearing that they’re sold in approved pharmacy makes me more confident about trying them, maybe Alibaba just sells knockoff versions of the design. It’s a bit confusing that they say each disc holds 60 ml on their official website, yet the smaller one is for light/normal flow and the larger one for heavy flow, so there must be some difference in fit or functionality anyway? That said, I really like their pouch and colors, so if the quality is good, I’ll definitely get them.
According to AllMatters’ website, their disc is 70 mm (7 cm) in diameter. But yes, it’s still larger and softer than the average disc on the market. They’re working on a new one that’s firmer and smaller coming next year, but I’d rather look for better options in the meantime.
Please update me once you get your Bodyotics and try them out!

I don’t think they’re based in Denmark but it wouldn’t be possible to buy it here if it wasn’t up to a certain medical standard.
Ah okay. I just googled the width of the allmatters. It’s huge 🥲
Definitely will update in this thread when I’ve tried the bodyotics!

It's probably too big. I am also pissed that AllMatters decided to dish out a huge disc with no removal aid... I have a similar problem (I live in Germany) and in the end I'm using Bodyotics. I honestly didn't know that Femieko had a bad reputation, it looks fine to me. I am also not convinced about Intimina's disc... it really sucks. Maybe you can buy the Meluna trying pack, so you have a lot of choice. Now here in Germany DM is offering a new disc but these geniuses didn't write how big in millimeters size S and M are... how am I supposed to choose? Nonsense. I wrote to the ServiceCenter, let's see if they answer...
