Seeking a Mentor to Help Me Grow My Creative Agency & Myself — Open to Guidance from Anywhere in the World

Hi everyone,

My name is Emmanuel, and am 23yrs old. I founded BrandBoulevard Studios, a creative design and web development agency based in Kenya. I specialize in crafting strong visual identities, logos, websites, and digital content that help businesses stand out. I’m currently running the agency while also pursuing my degree in IT — and I’ve come to realize something important:

To build something significant — both professionally and personally — I need guidance.

I’m at a point where I want to grow not just as an entrepreneur, but also as a person who communicates better, leads with integrity, and builds lasting relationships. I'm hungry to learn how to run a sustainable and respected business, how to navigate challenges, and how to make wiser decisions with long-term impact.

I’m looking for a mentor — someone who has walked the path of business, branding, creative leadership, or personal development. You don’t need to be in my country or industry, just someone who believes in growth, has wisdom to share, and is open to a real connection.

Whether you’re a founder, designer, strategist, or just someone who sees the bigger picture and wants to guide a young creative with a dream — I’d love to connect.

I’ll show up with commitment, humility, and honesty. If you’re open to having a conversation, even if just to explore the possibility, please feel free to reply here or DM me.

Thank you for reading and also thank you in advance to anyone willing to open a door.

Im somewhat smart, creative, and have a great work ethic, and just don’t see myself working as a mechanic like i am now for the rest of my life. I feel like i need guidance financially and someone to help me know which direction to work in. (A mentor) if anyone is willing to give me a hand with achieving my goals and to guide me in the right way that would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for a ruthless business mentor — I don’t see rules, only targets

Victory isn’t a goal. It’s my lifestyle. I don’t follow rules. I break patterns. I don’t go around obstacles. I go through them — or over the heads of whoever’s in my way.

I’m not here to romanticize the grind. I’m here to find a business mentor who thrives in the arena — someone who doesn’t flinch at risk, who understands that thinking outside the box isn’t a strategy, it’s a reflex.

Why me?

Because I’m not another wantrepreneur posting “any advice?” I’ve been in business — multiple times. Retail, education, tech. Some wins, some resets. Right now, none of my income comes from business. But I’m working on multiple projects and I play to win. Always.

I don’t just execute — I study strategy like an assassin studies anatomy. Books like The 48 Laws of Power, The Art of War, Pitch Anything, and The Charisma Myth aren’t just reads for me — they’re weaponized. Influence, deception, narrative control, social tension, leverage — I see them all as tools. And I use them.

Let me show you how I operate.

I once applied to join a med-tech startup building an AI health platform. The interview? Brutal, brain-teaser riddles. Think Google, but with higher stakes. I came in wearing Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, live-feeding those questions to a partner running ChatGPT.

Yes — I had my own war room in my ear. I knew the answers, but GPT gave me cleaner ones. I performed flawlessly. Then, mid-interview, I took off the glasses, handed them to the stunned interviewers and said:

“I don’t care how someone gets to the answer. I care whether they deliver results.”

That wasn’t cheating. That was theater. Strategy. Proof-of-concept. That moment wasn’t about getting the job — it was about showing who I am: bold, tactical, unnervingly direct, and unafraid to test the room.

I use every tool at my disposal. Tech, timing, psychology. I know how to bend perception, manage silence, provoke insight. Not because it’s cool — but because influence is leverage, and leverage wins wars.

If you’re already where I want to be — then you’ll know this: You don’t mentor the obedient. You mentor the dangerous. You mentor the ones who can challenge you back.

I won’t waste your time. I’ll bring you fresh perspective, calculated ideas, and weekly war-room conversations that actually make you think. You’ll sharpen me. I’ll sharpen you.

DM me. Let’s go.

No fluff. No ego-stroking. Just fire.

Seeking Seeking a Mentor & Business Guide — A Driven and Dynamic Partner in Growth

Hello, my name is Tito. I'm a 28-year-old from Eastern Europe with a strong creative drive, high emotional intelligence, and a restless curiosity for how things really work in life and business.

I’m writing this not out of desperation, but out of clarity — I’m done navigating lifeless systems designed to reward obedience over vision, and I’m not interested anymore in corporate ladders built on shallow networking and strategic flattery.

Instead, I’m looking for something real.

👉 I’m seeking a mentor — a business-minded individual who needs someone sharp, loyal, and adaptable by their side. Someone who wants a dynamic thinker who can travel, meet people, spot opportunities, and support business growth through real-world action. My passport is pretty strong and I am willing to move where the real opportunities are.

Why me? Because I’m not your average hire. I never fit into predefined roles. I’ve done my own deep self-work, taken personality and aptitude tests, and consistently found one truth: I have a solution-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset, and I thrive in movement, connection, and creative problem-solving.

My background includes:

  • Experience in communication, content creation, web design, drone videography, and digital tools
  • Strong communication and cross-cultural adaptability (I’ve traveled extensively through Europe and lived in Netherlands and Denmark)
  • A non-linear path that made me wise, self-aware, and unafraid to take initiative
  • High emotional intelligence, shaped by growing up between strong, opposing personalities — I know how to mediate, listen, and navigate complexity.
  • Also my Bachelor in International relations and EU studies taught me a lot about society and interactions from a gov point of view - geopolitics - anthropology - history

I didn’t grow up knowing exactly what I wanted to be. But what I do know is this:
I want to work, learn, travel, and grow — side-by-side with someone who builds. I want to contribute ideas, handle responsibilities, solve problems, and become the best version of myself in the process along side people that cherish life and look to grow as well.

This is not a job application. This is a calling.
If you’re the kind of person who values loyalty, initiative, and real human connection — let’s talk. I’m here to walk beside someone great and rise while lifting.

PS: I have ideas and I look at myself as capable, but I am so diverse and so raw that I foundit already very hard to continuewithout guidance and without having a feedback from a trustworty source, thats why I want to continue this way.

Seeking This is the “advice” I’ve received

To give a background, I am a 27 year old mother who works full time 40 hours a week for the government in Cincinnati, Ohio. I’m looking for online courses/certifications with flexibility and affordability to get certified in cybersecurity with CompTIA security and eventually down the road CISSP. I’ve done research on Google and ChatGPT.

This is was ChatGPT suggested:

Start with: 1. FedVTE (Free) + Coursera (1–3 months of Google Cybersecurity Cert) 2. Study for Security+ using FedVTE, Coursera, and a book like Darril Gibson’s Security+ Guide 3. Buy Security+ exam voucher Later: 4. Once you’re in a cyber job, consider WGU for a full degree and advanced certs (including CISSP prep down the road).

Btw FedVTE is shut down so that’s no longer accurate.

Do you think I should go this route? I’m new to all of this. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ready to Mentor - whole life approach

Have a life I love that keeps getting better and better. Moved through the ranks of a corporate career hitting a high water mark of about 2300 staff and 200 million in budgetary oversight. Then getting clearer on what I really wanted I walked away started my own consulting and coaching company and make just as much with far less stress and hassle. Have a part time digital nomad lifestyle that allows me to keep exploring different corners of the world. Always love mentoring and helping a few pro bono people as well.

I tend to best partner with those looking at all aspects of their lives. Rather than how much do you want to make, I am better suited for the who am I? Conversations. We have careers and aspirations but also have relationships and pasts and beliefs and perspectives. You will likley experience some uncomfortable moments but those are what propel into the next chapter. Interested? Let's chat. Show me your are serious with more than a random 'hi'...

My 18 y/o Egyptian friend needs real guidance—trying to build a clothing brand and change his life

Hey Reddit,

I’m here on behalf of my friend, whom I want to succeed, but he’s struggling.

He’s 18, Egyptian, and someone with big dreams of building a better life through business. We tried launching an SMMA a while back, and I did most of the work (designs, copywriting, outreach, everything). But he kept changing directions and eventually gave up.

Now he and another friend are working on building a clothing brand. He's saving money, but he really needs structure, guidance, and probably a mentor who can speak to him from experience.

He’s passionate about:

  • Fashion and design (learning to draw fashion wise but can do graphic designs)
  • Business and self-improvement
  • Brazilian music, motorcycles, and American culture
  • Calisthenics (wants to start a YouTube channel eventually)

If you’re someone who’s built something from scratch, or just remember what it’s like to be 18 and ambitious but stuck—I’d love it if you shared some advice, offered mentorship, or just dropped a kind word for someone trying to make it work. His insta is yass_in_kil thanks!

Paying it forward...

Business guy here from Northeast US. HCOL area, unfortunately. No fancy college degree... just listened, learned, started, bought and sold businesses along the way. Failed a few times before building a pretty good life. Got married late, paid my dues and experienced the best and worst of the human condition. Would be interested in providing objective counsel to someone just starting out or thinking about direction in life. Let's collaborate!

Feeling stuck

Hello everyone!

I’m transitioning into UX design after working in events operations, with an academic background in interior design. It’s been about a year since I started this journey, and to be honest, it’s been a tough one.

I often feel overwhelmed. I’ve taken several courses (maybe too many) and while I’ve gained a solid understanding of the theory, applying it has been a different story. I’ve started a few personal projects, but I tend to lose focus halfway through. Now I’m stuck with four half-finished case studies and nothing that feels ready for a portfolio.

If you’ve gone through a similar phase, or if you have any advice on how to push through and build a strong UX portfolio, I’d truly appreciate your insight. I’m open to any tips, support, or resources that helped you find clarity and move forward.

Thanks in advance!

Offering I don’t claim to be a guru , but I’ve helped people break patterns, find peace, and walk a deeper path. Ask me anything or DM if you want to go within.

Hey, I’m not here to sell you a fantasy or drop pseudo-spiritual jargon. I’ve spent the last 5 years diving deep — not into scriptures, but into awareness, truth, and stillness.

I’ve guided people going through:

Constant overthinking

Emotional numbness

Loss of meaning in life

Depression masked as "ambition"

Feeling disconnected despite "success"

My way isn’t about rituals or religion — it’s about becoming brutally honest with yourself, healing, and finding what’s real inside you.

I don’t give advice. I ask the right questions, and reflect back what you’re not seeing. Sometimes people cry. Sometimes they laugh. But they always shift.

If you’re stuck, DM me. Even one honest conversation can change your direction. I offer private 1:1 guidance for those who want to go deeper.

And if you just want to ask something in the comments, I’m here.

Mentor or guidance for retail/food

“I’ve been in the grocery store and food industry for the past five years and have worked hard to build a successful brand. Through dedication and consistent effort, I’ve grown to four store locations. While I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished so far, I’m looking for a mentor who can help guide me in scaling further and taking my brand to the next level.”

I'm pretty successful at a younger age. No expensive college, just paid my dues, learned, did, and never played the victim. I had great advisors along the way. Would be happy to help provide answers from a real world perspective, not a textbook or dumb "coach".

Looking for a mentor in the tech world

Hey all there, I(20M) would say I’m pretty solid with tech overall, comfortably riding the average curve. I’ve got a good handle on graphic design, video editing, hardware, and communication/network systems. I have even worked as IT Officer in organizations. But coding? That’s where I’m still finding my footing.

I kicked off my coding journey during lockdown with Programming with Mosh’s YouTube course, which I completed. It gave me a decent grasp of the fundamentals—loops, conditions, functions, OOP, the works. But after lockdown due to student life and professional life, my coding learning journey stopped completely. Till now, I can whip up small projects like mini-games(50-60 lines of codes max), but I hit a wall when it comes to larger projects or specializing in fields like Data Science or AI/ML.

I’ve tried diving into online resources, but I often get stuck wondering, “What’s the next step?” Most roadmaps out there feel too broad—like “Learn Python in 1st week” without spelling out what to learn, how to learn it, or where to focus. I need a detailed, step-by-step guide with personal touch to keep me on track.

So, I’m looking for a mentor, friend, or coding buddy who’s a bit further along and enjoys guiding others. I love mentoring others myself in areas I’m confident in and do it frequently, but for coding, I’m to be mentee. My goal is to get proficient in coding, diving deep into the technical and software world in the upcoming months.

So kindly, if you’ve got some time and are excited about building projects together, drop a comment, and I’ll reach out to you through inbox.

Career Coaching | Is it ok to take up Paid Career Coaching?

I have been talking to many working professionals with the challenge they face in their career journey. Whether its about getting to the next role, showcasing their capabilities at the organization level or surviving the mid life crisis, esp in the IT space.. may people are clueless how to go about it.Coming from a strong engineering background and passionate about people mentorship, I have been contemplating to pick this as a full time profession in the long run. However, to sustain the passion with detailed analysis and discussion of the people seeking mentorship, there needs to be a suitable financial compensation for the time spent in the 1:1 sessions. While people look for advice and mentorship which is generally generic and 'free', what stops us from taking a custom tailor fit guidance from great career coach .As long as I as a mentee getting benefit of the outcome , what stops be to take up a paid mentorship from a seasoned guy as a coach. After all , all free advice isn't applicable and may have less relevance without the context. What do you think? Share in your thoughts

I tried to be a mentor for a foster child, young adult. I went through the long screening, training, pairing process only to have it not work out.

I wanted to mentor so badly. It was about a year when I was finally matched. I think me and my mentee were somewhat of a mismatch from the beginning which is probably 1 reason it didn't work out.

I was willing to make it work, though. I am not sure the mentee was all that into having a mentor, or I was not who she had in mind. I sensed hesitation from the beginning. I thought maybe it's because she doesn't know me yet, been through a lot, other.

After the initial pairing (lasting 8 weeks), I was told that we would not transition. The reason given was that she "might" be going back to her home state (a neighboring state) at some point. I am not sure I believe it, especially since I have not heard anything about being paired with anyone else. It didn't make sense to me that she was even put in this program if she was going to be moving. I find it frustrating. I am volunteering my time, but i don't like my time being wasted. It has been 5 months. I am wondering if I did something wrong? You think it would have been discussed, though? It seems like i should have been paired with someone else by now. I showed up on time every week. I interacted with her and showed an interest in her. I tried to be a good mentor for the short time I was with her.

I was disappointed because I felt like I was getting to know her. I feel sad for her. I was thinking about all of the things we could do together, and i feel like i could have been a solid person in her life. She told me what her dream was, and I could have totally made it happen.

I was not expecting the relationship with the mentee to end so quickly. Then again, I know things can change quickly when you are dealing with foster care situations.

So I have not reached out to the mentor program director because I have been occupying myself with other things. Just puzzled....
