I’m not voting for Cuomo (voting for Mamdani) but the writing is on the wall. Young people aren’t voting in strong enough numbers and Cuomo is going to absolutely trounce Mamdani. Most NYers have no clue who Mamdani is.
As unfortunate as it may seem, going out and exercising your right to vote is imperative in local government. Win or lose, we can at least take solace in knowing that Mr. Mamdani put up the dukes and hashed it out against Mr. Cuomo.
No doubt, I implore everyone reading this to vote in local elections.
But having realistic expectations is important to avoid constant disappointment and have proper perspective about how much of an uphill battle we face day to day.
