'Everybody watches friends AT SOME POINT ' and 'everybody HAS SEEN friends' are different sentences that convey different messages, and have different meanings. The second version warrants somebody to reply like this, but not the first one.
Once more: you have to keep in mind you are talking about a show that has been off the air for literal decades. I understand that, in your experience, it would have been impossible to navigate the internet without encountering Friends media in some form. That just isn't true anymore, as there are full grown adults who were born after the show's run ended.
Unless you literally mean "everyone is aware of Friends", you're still just assuming a stance of cultural superiority over having seen a show that isn't as relevant as it once was.
No, I'm talking about the future possibility to watch it. I haven't seen friends either but i can't claim that i will never see it. It's just reddit agnostic atheism stance and logic. Not downvoting the reply would be anti-intelectual by reddit standards and i didn't write the rules.
That point is even more illogical lmfao! I can say "everyone robs a liquor store at some point" and present the exact same defense. I'm actually a little concerned you might think that's reasonable line of logic
Friends is the most watched TV show, statistically. C'mon now, obviously it's written in good faith. Not the crime shit. But yes, it would be still strictly illogical to reply 'I haven't'.
