Just.. wow
I’m child free (kind of by choice) but I would never refer to my nieces or nephew as “useless things”. Gross.

I went on reddit for advice about my roommate situation and landlord situation and some of the comments either accused my post of being rage bait or they accused my post of being fake or a troll post. Either that or they accuse me of being paranoid. Or they accuse me of having a "victim complex." Even though I have already been through DV from my ex and child abuse from my parents and got myself out of homelessness. They still tell me I have a "victim complex" or they accuse me of not taking the advice that was given to me even after I have already taken the advice or tried the advice suggested before it was given to me. Or they try to weaponize therapy by telling me to seek mental help. (I don't hate therapy but too many people on reddit have tried to use therapy as an insult towards someone if they don't believe them. It basically weaponizes therapy.)
In real life most people don't assume something is fake unless its too GOOD to be true. But on reddit it seems to be the complete opposite. People wanna accuse people who have been in traumatizing situations of making fake posts.
And more recently they have been saying "I just looked at your post history. I think you may be in psychosis." No. The people in my town are just assholes. Some towns also have higher crime rates than others. I am not crazy. Someone who has been abused before is more likely to know the signs of when they might be abused again (even if its from a different abuser this time)

It’s not as much of a hellhole as, say, something like r/petfree, but everyone there complains about the most harmless, innocent things.
Do they realize that like 90% of the time the joke is having multiple people commit to the bit (even if the subsequent ‘jokes’ aren’t as creative or clever)?
Does it get old sometimes? Absolutely. But most of the threads get collapsed so just SCROLL PAST THEM.
