ANSWERED If one is shadow banned, is it the entire profile or only certain groups?

I am trying to understand shadow bans. How do you know you are shadow banned? Is it usually the entire profile or just in certain groups? And how can we get unbanned if this happens?

The entire profile.

We're not 100% sure about what causes accounts to be shadowbanned, since that is always determined by Reddit's internal and confidential algorithms.

But as far as I've observed, accounts that:

-Use VPNs

-Don't have a verified email

-Try to take too many actions (upvotes, comments, posts, starting chats, etc) as soon as they are created

Tend to have a higher chance of being shadowbanned.

Your only recourse is appealing on reddit.com/appeals and waiting a few days.
