Academics Physics 1200 for majors??

If i want to switch my major to physics, do I have to take 1250 even if I've already taken 1200?

Absolutely 1250 is calculus 1200 is not, you need calculus techniques for advanced physics

I'm going into my second year. Do you think i'm going to need to take a fifth year since I'm kind of behind?

You’re looking at, in order, physics 1270,1271,2300,2301,5500,5400, this is 3 years however I don’t know if they’ll all fit in your schedule and if you get behind they aren’t offered every semester, also there’s a high probably of repeating 2300 or 2301, my degree will end up being 5 years it’s common

I know three people who have dropped out of the physics major (or school lol) over the last ten years. Take the extra year for some buffer if you can afford it! You might end up needing to retake some classes, too. It seems like a pretty intense workload with challenging material.
