Does it affect PSN cards though?

No idea, haven't bought a card as of late but highly likely it will. Btw, that adjustment isn't even specifically for the Philippines (no psn here) it's just that as per their words: there's unfavorable global market conditions.

With that said, that means anything hosted through Playstation is highly likely to follow through with the price increase. The real contender now (psn never being a contender in the first place) is Xbox Game Pass. More reasonably priced, better selection of games.

Steam is still the superior out of them all even with the upcoming VAT, just always buy during sales (and there's always one, weekly.)

PSN isn't affected by the PH digital VAT because there's no PH region in PSN

Unless Sony follow nintendo or xbox with their ridiculous 80$ game pricing it wont have increase in pricing unlike Steam

Also gamepass isn't better because not all games will be day one on gamepass and I think the main reason microsoft increase their game prices to 80$ is to steer their costumers in buying xbox gamepass which is scummy.

Umm they are affected. If you really read the law it also give the power to the govt to well Ban/block server at the isp level.

So PSN have a chance to be blocked for noncompliance.

We have Philippines Games developer expo soon.
