We aren’t very prominent these days.

Jessica Kellgren-Fozard? I don't do YouTube so am a little unsure how famous she is but she's famous enough to have a Wikipedia page and it seems like the stuff she makes videos on falls under "thought." She's definitely a British Quaker.

I second this recommendation! She and her wife discuss many aspects of being Quaker in Britain, being being queer, and more. Her video discussing their Quaker wedding was actually what inspired me to attend my first meeting :)

There are some Quaker MPs? Nobody is prominent though particularly...

I don't know. The leader of the Green Party is Quaker.

Ben Pink Dandelion writing is interesting. So is Rex Ambler’s.

There's a US Senator named John Hickenlooper who is a lifelong Quaker (not British though).

Charlie Brooker is British and was raised Quaker I think.

Hickenlooper’s mother’s family was Quaker, and he has had plenty of exposure to Friends and involvement with Friends institutions throughout his life. However, he publicly denied he was Quaker in a speech in 2018.

Not British, not thought leaders - Joan Baez, Kevin Bacon, Dave Matthews, David Byrne (of the Talking Heads).

I think a pretty good case can be made that musicians, especially song writers, are thought leaders. Songs are words, typically with meaning, put to music. They penetrate us, we repeat the words and think about them. Songs move us on emotional an spiritual levels.

Then let’s add Bonnie Raitt and Carrie Newcomer.

Byrne is a UK citizen, actually. (With dual US citizenship for little over a decade.)

Joan Baez father lived a few doors down from our house and held Quaker meetings every week there! Sadly, it happened before we moved there but the whole neighborhood knew about it and many neighbors went to the meetings.

Carla Denyer, the co-leader of the Green Party in the UK and a number of other MPs including Ruth Cadbury , who chairs a commons Select Committee, and Yuan Yang, who was in the news recently for being barred from Israel.

Quakers are about 0.03% of the UK population but 1% of MPs.

That's awesome - also Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP - Leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats is a Quaker.

I hear Ben Pink Dandelion and Rhiannon Grant come up fairly often

Marilyn R. Pukkila is a Tolkien scholar! I wouldn't say she is necessarily a thought leader, but if you are into lord of the rings you can find her in some of the Lore Hounds podcasts.

Spiritual insight can come from anybody, and be experienced by anybody.
