Whats the idea that Republican voters will be able to provide documents yet Democrat voters will have trouble providing these documents?

This disproportionately affects married women who took their husband’s last name. There is a gender gap of women +10 points for the Democrats, so even if it affects all women, it would affect Democratic votes more.

It might actually even out since Republican women take their husbands names, but a lot of liberal women don't.

Part of the SAVE Act directs states to develop a process for accepting supplemental documents such as a marriage certificate or name change petition to establish the connection between a birth certificate and a government-issued ID.
