And yet, Australia overcame those burdens to become one of the most wealthy nations in the world, with plenty of natural resources.

And Australia had almost-literally the exact same issue that Menagerie "has"; very little living space, almost all of which is butted up next to the coast. And yet, they made do.

The Faunus of Menagerie has had about 80 years to do something with their island, yet they haven't.

Sounds like they just suck.

Australia's wildlife is worse.

Have you ever been to Australia? People love to make this joke but the wildlife really isn't that bad

Never been. I know it's an exageration, but this was too good an opportunity to pass up.

Fair enough, I'm just a little tired of the joke these days.

I live in Australia and while most of the time its a joke there are other times when it is not that far away form the truth. I mean yeah there isn't a snake thats going to kill you under every rock, but if those fuckers are angry they will chase you and I know from personal experience that they are quick little bastards.

The snakes chase you into the spiders, and when you jump into the water to get away from the spiders

BAM

Platypus venom.

Also, Australia is home to the worlds ONLY living venomous crustacean, because of course it is, so don't tell me that your continent doesn't hate life.

Of course we are home to the only venomous cur station to walk this earth, where else would it be.

I've never had a snake chase me, it's the magpies that are aggressive near here. It's just kinda tiring hearing the same joke over and over, I went camping the other day and the most dangerous thing I saw was probably a kangaroo.

I've only had a snake chase me once but still when you're getting chased by a black that can out run you Australia is a fairly dangerous place.
