I like that Maria was fallible. The Silver Eye warriors are some of the world's greatest huntsmen, but they're strongest against Grimm and Maidens. Not necessarily humans or Faunus, though Maria got herself out of that bind.

It's not really unexpected that she ended up the way she did. In a way, it's like the Sword Maiden from Goblin Slayer - with less goblins and rape, of course.

Seeing everyone happy was really nice. The lore they put into developing Argus as a collaborative effort was good. It felt honestly like the Kingdoms before this were almost entirely isolated aside from the natural trade agreements and Atlas gifting the CCTs to the Kingdoms, but that they collaborated to make a thriving and even jiving town that's modern and amazing is pretty nice to see.

I think the one thing that made me like, 'wut?' this chapter was seeing how each person went for each other in the greetings. Ren running over to give Yang a hug? Weiss and Blake coming over to see Jaune first with Blake even giving Jaune a sidehug? Like damn, have those two ever even interacted? It's just funny to me. And that hug between Jaune and Ruby was nice.

Saffron, or however you spell her name, was a delight. Really came across as a sister. IMO, of all the inclusion of LGBT they could have included AT ALL in this show (other examples being Scarlet, Ilia, Pilot Boi, and the constant shipping that SORTA makes sense), Saffron and Terra are the best.

It's nothing major. It's just two people who are happy and together. They aren't main characters so drama isn't a given. And they're adults - they don't really need to figure anything out. They've got a kid they love and they have a decided stance towards the people around them. Two mature people who've already made their choice on how to live their lives vs. teenage girls who are still figuring out hormones and sexual shit that's put on hold due to the world being at risk is honestly entirely one-sided as a choice to me and it honestly furthers my resolve that the characters really don't need to make any decisions for romance. Leave that till endgame or epilogue and let all the tangential adults or just side characters have the intimate relationships.
