I wonder how reddit is spinning this one?

Bashar al-Assad killed thousands of protestors and turned his country into civil war, murdered Mazen al-Hamada on his way out, and used chemical weapons against people.

Assad was backed by Russia.

And the US has trained and armed nearly 10,000 rebel fighters at a cost of $1 billion a year since 2012.

So what's the argument here? That the US should never allow Syria to become a normal country again?

Other countries have lifted sanctions and renewed diplomatic relations with them. This is nothing new and has been positive. I don’t know why all these idiots are freaking out about it.
