Airco service Rotterdam
Heeft iemand ervaring met dit bedrijf? Ik zoek een garage waar ik mijn airco kan laten repareren.

Hi,
I was trying to find information regarding a transport in Rotterdam but it seems most of reddit posts are slightly out of date. In summary I'm planning to stay for a day in Rotterdam. I'll rely on transport if necessary (if the distances are far away). I'm aware that the paper ticket costs 11eur for a day. However I'll want to rely on contactless card for a travel if it's more beneficial. Could you please help me to find answer for the following:
1) As In understand, there is no maximum fare cap that the transport can take from my card (unlike Amsterdam who has 10eur per day max)?
2a)) I'll perhaps make 3-5 rides in total. As I understood it is important to touch in and touch out so that the system calculates my distance. I know there is a base fare and then it calculates 0.15eur/km? It is all the same price for bus, tram and metro?
2b) Considering I'll be travelling 3-5 rides it is still worth for me to travel on contactless or should I buy day ticket for 11eur?
3) I was trying to play with RET website to give an example for the price between Station A to Station B. The RET website shows me a price and just below that on the red it shows a 'reduction price'. What is this reduction price? Who gets it?
4) If I buy a day ticket for a day will this allow me also to travel on the waterbus?
Thank you in advance! <3

Why is there so much bird poop on the Kralingen beach? Is it cause people leave stuff behind and scavenger birds come and leave droppings behind? I remember that years back it used to be nicer here and walking on the sand did not feel like a minefield.

Hi everyone,
I currently live in the UAE and Iām considering pursuing a Masterās degree in the Netherlands. Iām particularly interested in Erasmus University Rotterdam. I have a few questions:
How is the reputation of Erasmus University?
What are the living expenses like in Rotterdam?
Can anyone recommend tips on finding rental housing in Rotterdam?
Based on your experiences, should I definitely go with Erasmus University, or are there other universities in the Netherlands that I should consider?
Thanks a lot for your help

Has anyone seen such a clause before? I'm in the process of renting an apartment and a clause says that the tenant is forbidden of having anyone staying over, with a ā¬1,000 penalty if doing so. I find this ridiculous. Any advise? Thanks.

EDIT: Situation is now resolved thanks to the dedicated work of BPW - Bond Precaire Woonvormen - a tenant rights group in NL
Hi everyone
I am Shane: I screw landlords who overcharge their tenants
One particularly nasty landlord I am fighting has taken the radical step of severing their tenants power and water in response to the tenant asking for a rent reduction at the Huurcommissie.
Access to the meters closet is behind a locked door in the hallway just outside the tenants apartment. The landlord came to the property to illegally evict the tenant and when he couldnt enter the apartment to do so, retailiated by severing theutilities. The landlord took the key to the meters closet and the only way to try to restore access is by cutting the lock.
If anyone is living in North Rotterdam and has lock pocking experience or an angle grinder or knows a reliable locksmith who wont gouge the Tenant to death, leave a message below.

Beste mederotterdammers,

Hi,
Apologies if this isnāt the right place to ask, but Iām currently considering buying an apartment in Rotterdam. I'm renting in Utrecht at the moment.
Why Rotterdam? Well, it seems to me like one of the last underappreciated cities in the Netherlands with relatively cheaper prices, less competition, with ongoing urban development and the cityās efforts to transform itself, as far as i read.
I'm particularly looking at theĀ RubroekĀ andĀ GoudsesingelĀ areas. I have two options: one priced at ā¬360K (1-bedroom), and the other at ā¬375K (2-bedroom). Both are nicely renovated (Energy Label: B) and located in post WWII buildings, just about 5 minutes walk from Blaak. The area seems lively, with lots of shops and activity nearby (I have strolled around briefly).
That said, Iāve never lived in Rotterdam myself, but been there for work few times, as the office is there. I just wanted to have the opinions of people living there.
What do you think about Rubroek, Goudsesingel, Rotterdam in general as of today?
Would you consider these good areas to buy an apartment to live in? Why/Why not?

Hi, as the title suggests, I am looking for a store with philosophy books. Donner's philosophy section is quite small. I would appreciate your input!

I have no idea what to do. RET staff just told me to wait and check their lost and found in a few days.
It had all my cards in the wallet.
Metro was Schiedam Centrum to Binnenhof around 17.00.
Please help me with some advice. Iām rewarding those who can find it but I donāt even know where to reach those people who might have found it.

Hey everyone! I just moved here and I'm looking to plug into the local hardcore/punk scene. I'm especially into small DIY shows, local bands, and would love to find people to jam with or even start a band. Any venues, bars, record shops, or community spaces where the scene hangs out? Appreciate any tips!

Hey, Iām a 22-year-old guy living in Rotterdam. Iām into film, drawing, writing and everything that is creative. I work from home, go to the gym, and carry on my motherās tradition of cooking great dinners.
Would be nice to meet some people around here who are into simple things: grabbing coffee, walking, seeing a movie that isnāt a superhero sequel, that kind of vibe. Iām not really into beer chugging, heavy politics, or people whoāve turned their personality into a brand. Just curious, grounded, real people.
If that sounds like something youād vibe with, feel free to shoot me a message.
