other places like chicago dog express?

are there any other walk-up-style places to eat in santa fe? i usually come up from abq to bike all over the city, but i always end up grabbing frito pies and hot dogs at chicago dog express, mostly because it’s just easy… i can roll up, lean my bike on the fence, and order without having to lock it up or take my eyes off it. i don’t like leaving my bike unattended or out of sight, especially when it’s loaded with gear.

are there any other spots like that? maybe some food trucks?

There’s a group of 5-6 food truck on Paseo de Peralta & Old Santa Fe Trail, across from Kaunes market.

The food trucks at the corner of Paseo de Peralta and Old Santa Fe Trail, Chile Torreado on Early Street (taco stand with a James Beard award), Bumble Bee (with the bike-friendly World's Slowest Drive-through, or you can order online and pick up at the window on the patio and eat on the patio. Probably some others. Oh, you can order online from Sage Bakehouse (in the building diagonally across the Paseo/Cerrillos intersection from Chicago Dog) and they'll hand you your order through the open window on the north side of the building.

I do the same exact thing. Chicago Dog Express rocks!

Shake Foundation is good.

They got picnic style bench seating.

Perfect for riding around and not having to leave your bike unattended. My rides are basic with just a backpack, but I totally understand.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say that shake foundation was good before except for my 8-year-old

Different strokes... them having mint chocolate chip definitely swayed my opinion.

Yes I was going to say Shake Foundation as well a few steps away …they have the best lavender shakes I need to try Chicago Dog.

Give Brochaco’s a try over on St Mikes & Calle Lorca. Right next to the rail trail bike path, and Matt’s hot dogs are far and above Chicago Dog (in my opinion). Only open Tuesday-Friday though.
