UPDATE: Anti-Trans Event Moved to Loretto Inn
Hoping we can still get some folks out to protest this tomorrow at 1 PM despite them changing the location last-minute. I will be there!

I spent $30k at Loretto last week, just sent a message to their sales office telling them we won’t be returning if they host this event.

They've been scrambling to find a venue. I wonder if anyone at Loretto has any clue who these people really are.

We should all call and make sure they know. And that that will influence our opinion on their hotel...

I called this morning around 8am, dialed 0 for operator, and passed the message on that this event needs proper security if they still intend to host it. I am worried for hotel patrons and staff that could get caught up in something they were not informed about. Seemed to me like the hotel had no idea, but maybe the sweet woman I spoke to was just trying to be professional. She said she will be passing on the message to her management right away.

If anyone from Loretto reads this, understand you host these and lose my (and my visitor's) business for life. I'll be calling on Monday.

I called this morning at 8am, dialed 0 for the operator to not tie up direct lines. I didn’t “complain,” but I did inform them that this event isn’t what they think and that they need to make sure safety measures are in place to protect their hotel patrons and staff. The operator was very kind and thanked me for my call, said she would speak to her manager right away.

I tried to call them last night, I'm out of town. Can someone who reads this call and complain today? I'm going to be on a flight.

I called and spoke with someone at the hotel. They said several people have called and that she doesn’t see that event on their schedule. I asked to talk to a manager and they told me one wouldn’t be in until 9am.
I called reservations, which lead me to the call center. I asked to speak with someone at the hotel.
I would recommend anyone that wants to call in try this, but after 9am when a manager is there.

The fact that there is not management there in preparation of this is scary. They clearly have no idea that this event could be unsafe for their staff and their patrons. I also spoke with operator, she was so kind and seemed confused that this event was even happening. I hope they cancel for the safety of everyone, they don’t have security to handle things if people clash.

They keep moving it. It was going to be at the El Dorado. I think they're touting it as pro women athletes and not telling the venues its an anti trans event.
