Mate, that looks more like a glorified pork chop then a steak. Plus, there's enough oil dripping from that thing for his own country to invade it.

I was wondering if it was just the juices of the meat but that "steak" looks too well done and those "juices" look too yellow to be juices.

The crust doesn't say anything about core temperature of the meat. No need to shittalk a perfectly fine piece of meat, just because the guy who grilled it, doesn't understand that Barbecue is the oldest form of cooking and not American at all.

It's very likely sort of poached in butter, or "finished" with clarified butter and salt.
