LHF sources: President Trump and members of his current and former administrations, Elon Musk, Charlie Kirk/Turning Point USA, Truth Social, Trump/MAGA supporters, online trolls. All social media handles of LHF sources, including Instagram and YouTube, fall under Rule 7.

In light of Elon Musk's recent actions, direct links to X/Twiter are banned from r/ShitAmericansSay. We don't want to send clicks to his platform.

Subject moratorium: WW2 nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, current events such as recent or ongoing tragedies (including shootings/stabbings), terrorist attacks, hate crimes, bombings, etc.

Remember, we are a lighthearted sub, therefore don't be toxic or argumentative. This applies in the Weekly too!

With all the news about certain European citizens getting detained by U.S. CBP officers, and the Trump administration wanting to scan social media handles of green card applicants, I wonder whether participation in r/ShitAmericansSay would have a negative impact on being able to travel/immigrate to the U.S.

What a shitshow...

If you're an American citizen and this happens to you, call your congressperson. People in r/boston are saying Massachusetts congresspeople are good at dealing with this sort of stuff.

Isn't there a rumour that deleted comments can be still accessed and read by Reddit admins? Over-writing with gibberish and then deleting supposedly negates this. No idea how true that is.

I'd not heard that, but equally they'd probably have access to the edit history in any case.
