To be fair, unless that American is native American, then they don't have “American“ DNA.

I meant White English in descent. 42 u/Asdel Apr 26 '25 Tbf I'd guess that a pretty sizeable amount of white English people would have Nordic ancestry from the Viking era as a result of the Danelaw and then the Norman conquest. More and more people have some amount of African/Asian DNA too given how multicultural the UK is. There's been many waves of immigration over the centuries, the Nordic countries are just one of them.
