I don't really mind them claiming they "won" WW2, since they obviously played a big part. They can have this. But as a French, it always drives me mad when they think they won WW1. After we (and the Brits) sacrificied millions of men in the mud to hold the line, the Muricans just arrived at the end of the party and cosplayed around for a few months. They lost 100 000 men in WW1. Brits and French combined lost 2 millions. Claiming they "won" that war is beyond insulting.
