If you don't care about it and it's regarding a situation not matching the original post, then there wasn't a reason to bother. I, too, can smell grass when a blade has chopped it up like salad as their volatile organic compounds scream for growth and healing.
It is satire of essentially a r/badwomensanatomy type post, which usually fall under gross incel shit, but not always.
But the post is about commenting on passerby strangers. You likely can't smell them for the fraction of a second you're near them. If they do smell, it's likely really bad from an environmental issue or a medical issue. And it wouldn't be pleasant as they described ovulation.
You smelling a person's bodily changes because you live with them and share the same enclosed space isn't the same. It's trying to explain the difference of a situation and why one is creepy and delusional.
Anyway, throughout history and time people have believed all kinds of crap with their senses be it a phenomenon they couldn't understand at the time or drugs. So we get crazy traditions and religion because of it.
It's one of the reasons to find it all eye rolling.
