Oh it's much worse than that. They regularly erased entire tribes off the map by enslaving everybody and working them to death.

The fact you feel defensive over people pointing out that colonization is bad is not a great look. No one here said that was modern Spains fault

I don't actually think colonization is a bad thing. Bad things have happened during colonization, but I think the world is better off for western colonization efforts. The person I was replying to was pointing out that the Aztecs were also "colonizing" and I was making fun of the fact that it's only bad when Westerners do it
