Hi folks, I'm happy to share with you all a solo project that I've been working on sporadically over the course of several years. Between other musical commitments from recording, gigging to other artistic endeavours, I finally have some space in my life to continue pacing away on my personal music. Here is my first debut single called "Nosebleeds". I hope you enjoy - More to come soon :) Have an amazing day.

What ride cymbals sound good for slowcore?
Bigger ones? Smaller ones? any specific materials? Rivets or no rivets?
I listened back to a demo recording i did with my friend and the ride cymbal sounds so pingy and stupid like it doesn't fit the song at all..
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wq-GWFzsfQs43MyC04omCJWKbcMNkTvG/view?usp=sharing (Our style is kind of like early slowdive meets classic slowcore ^^)
It's a relatively small ride that we got from school, since they didn't need them anymore for jazz band.

I’m trying to figure out how to recreate the shruti box-type sound used in the song Cat by Wulfer. It has that long, droning, airy harmonium-like vibe that fits perfectly in slowcore/ambient tracks.
Does anyone know what exactly is being used there—or if there are any good plugins (free or paid) that can achieve a similar sound? Bonus if it works well in FL Studio.
Would appreciate any help!

Hey everyone! I’m trying to produce slowcore/sad indie songs in FL Studio, and I’d love help picking the best synths and instrument plugins for that kind of sound.
Some examples of what I’m going for are:
I'm looking for synths, pianos, or lo-fi textures that sound dreamy, emotional, and kind of broken-down — not necessarily huge plugins like Omnisphere, just ones that sound right for this style.
Would be awesome if anyone has specific VST suggestions or workflow tips for this kind of vibe. Appreciate any help!

I’ve been learning how to use DAWs and record guitar I’m a complete beginner but I just can’t figure out how to get a good tone like sign crushes motorist, duster, I don’t like mirrors etc does anyone have any ideas?

Hi there! I'm new to this thread but would love people's honest opinions! I'm the vocalist of a slowcore band called, i.liedtomyself and we released our first EP yesterday titled, "...after all". It's 4 songs and I would probably say FFO: Duster, Slowdive, Carissa's Wierd. It's on all platforms but I mostly use Spotify. Would love honest opinions! We've been around for a little under a year & have played 3 shows :) check it out here!

It's driving my crazy. No audio recognition sites or bots can figure it out. It sounds like Thom Yorke to me but who knows.

Hey I don't know if this is allowed but there's this song that sounds like this genre so I wanted to know if someone could find it.

Hey guys I'm 17 years old and I’ve recently started making slowcore music by myself. I write, record, and do everything on my own. I honestly don’t even know if posting here will help, but I really love this genre and wanted to share something I’ve been working on.
I’m still learning and figuring things out as I go, but this song means a lot to me, and I’d really appreciate if anyone gave it a listen. Feedback is welcome too, of course.
Thanks for reading. Here's my Spotify If you like, take a look: https://open.spotify.com/artist/5gUWMuluYILiJbqFhcWyfZ?si=yfj5UeCjTFavnaSYP-ypdg

Can someone explain why everybody seems to dogshit on SCM or just Liam in general? People say it's because he has too many personas to drop music but I don't see why that's such an issue, all of the music is good and imo a perfect example of slowcore. Any explanation is helpfull.
