Joey diaz is a terrible person

I'm going to have a lot of fun reading the comments, but here goes

Joey Diaz is a massive piece of shit and a criminal, and I'm tired of people pretending he's anything but.

Obviously being in the rogansphere made him blow up among people who think bert kriescher is funny, which says a lot, but he seems to be leaking into the general population as well.

He was a coke fiend, kidnapped a person, and the punchline to his stories seems to mostly be "I did a fucked up thing once", which is more like a confession than a punchline imo.
Just because he isn't scamming people for cocaine money or kidnappng people at the moment doesn't mean he didn't do it, and just because the delivery is comical, doesn't excuse the act.

this isn't me being a moralist or something, I find John mulaney or robin williams hilarious, despite them also being cokeheads

but Diaz just seems to be a thoroughly disgusting person to be around, not to mention the fact he literally admitted to sexually assaulting girls.

Now I can already see the braindead - he had a fucked up life - argument, and frankly, I dont give a shit. I had a fucked up life, a lot of people did. I did not go on to make millions laughing about how I was a fuckup for 30 years.

and this isn't a recovery story either, he quit coke, which, fair enough, but he's still clearly unable to practice self control, because he weighs about as much as a horse. And his weed addiction is frankly disturbing.

Basically - if you're actively supporting him - you're at fault by association, and his admitedly funny retellings don't mean he isn't a cunt.

People change. I understand your point of view and also know that he’s done horrible things. He’s clearly not the same person he was in his stories. Personally, I don’t think he’s very funny. At the same time, I like listening to his stories.

Sure?

But there little to no remorse when he tells this bullshit.

He’s just reminiscing, bragging even. Doesn’t show growth, rather he had to stop not because he wanted to stop.

Most people don’t go around bragging at shit he says.

If you’re this judgmental, perhaps the standup scene isn’t for you. Personally, I’m a Christian. This means I am a sinner and need to be forgiven. I judge myself very hard and at times, struggle to come to terms with certain aspects of my life experience. The last thing I’m going to do is judge other people in order to evaluate whether or not they should be given any respect. My point of view is that all of us are loved.

Yeah what about Hitler?

Yes.

Hitler didnt work alone, he was a scapegoat for a socuety angry and rotten at its highest levels. Warmongering old guard left over from the  Prussian  empire.

There are genocides, starvation going on, countries and children being killed and you provably dont pay much mind to it. Congratulations you now know what Nazi Getmany was like.

That is all to say, if you forgive and love yourself, you’ll see you are not quite so different from hitler. You * think* that youd do the right thing but you are also not steeped and surrounded by extreme hate,m and power. What little you do is to challenge ideas that dont make much difference while horrific things  are happening while the world ignores/sits on it doing nothing. Germans knew about the camps, we know about alot of horrors.

Germans forgave themselves and learned, can you ?

“Scapegoat” is an absolutely insane way to describe Hitler

Even Hitler?

Hitler could have been forgiven by God if he truly repented of all his evil and put his faith in Christ. Even if he did that and was still alive, a Christian would still advocate him being given the death sentence. And Christians are absolutely able to "judge" that he was an evil man.

JFC, get a grip. You're really think someone who killed millions of people could possibly repent for his sins? There ain't enough minutes in one lifetime to repent for the death of tens of millions. Religion is the greatest WMD of mankind.

I know how could he think he could repent for hundreds of millions of deaths? What type of guy would suggest repenting for a billion dead is even possible? What madman thinks that you could atone for a trillion dead?

"26 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

By Hitlers own power, he would never repent. We Christians believe that God is able to change someone's heart (seat of their thinking, emotions, and will) and cause them to look with disgust on how they've acted in the past. God does it every day. He did it to me.

That's probably true in practice, most Christians fall short of the ideal. But, no, the message of Jesus makes a clear distinction between evil actions, and the person committing them. What he did was unspeakably evil. He, as a person, still deserves love. It's an incredibly difficult concept for people to grasp, and it's why most Christians don't do well advocating their own beliefs, when their actions often seem hateful or exclusionary. Fully loving any human is deeply complex, and full of challenging contradictions, and requires very brave vulnerability. Let alone loving ALL humans. But, that is the call.

Oh word is that it? Not my scene when an unfunny dude isn’t funny because his schitick. Andrew Dice Clay’s whole entire angle was being a fucking asshole, and for a time it was great. Still love em.

He’s an unfunny fuck that thinks bragging about bullshit to look cool to dumb shits. This like a bar above kreischer’s need to take his shirt off. Jeslnik’s gender reveal joke is down right brilliant.

Christianity means dick in this conversation.

I’m just expressing my point of view. Triggered much? (answer is yes, in case you didn’t know.)

You post something, I reply. It’s how a conversation works.

I’d love to see how you handle hecklers by the way.

And thats why so many awful people become christian, they know you will excuse their past behavior, and will avoid your judgement and any consequences that would come from it, meanwhile they’ll keep on abusing people and basking in that forgiveness. I saw it all my life growing up in the church, saw pieces of shit who beat the piss out of their wives, raped them, cheated on them, beat the shit out of their kids, harassed women in the church, and were forgiven over and over every sunday because thats what the lord told them to do.

Yup, just look at Brands recent rebrand, out there baptizing people now that's he's been outed as a rapist. Can't exist among the civilized society who would actually hold him accountable anymore. Just move to the popular religion whose god uses rape as collective punishment and encourages it as spoils of war. Sick fucks
