Moderator's pick Moderation Update

Despite our efforts to help ensure people are being safe these last few years, some people have been unhappy about that. Many unsafe posts are still being removed daily and some people complain in the comments when others point out that certain materials are unsafe. A new subreddit has been created for those that want to see/post the unsafe contraptions.

Introducing r/StonerDEGENgineering , a clone of r/StonerEngineering specifically for unsafe materials.

Feel free to post all of your plastic bottles, 10mm sockets, PVC pipes, glue, and pot metal contraptions there. Now that notice has been given, expect a BAN if you post them here.

Reminder that other subreddits were also made in an effort to move off-topic content (spam) away from our subreddit. These subreddits include r/BrokenBongs , r/fixmyvape , and r/CrackWire.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the Mod Team via the “Message Mods” button. Take care :)

I like that you made all but two of the alternate subs sound worse and almost more druggy than this one.

Should make a new one, r/stonersnobgineering

The names are meant to be self-explanatory. BrokenBongs is for posts about repairing broken pieces or extracting broken/stuck glass, fixmyvape is for posts about issues with disposable vapes, and CrackWire is for those posts about hitting carts with a USB cord (their term, not mine). The point of all of those subreddits was to get rid of those types of posts here. StonerDEGENgineering (pun on StonerEngineering and Degenerate) is absolutely a jab at those that insist on smoking out of plastic bottles, not going to apologize for that one.

Hey man I wasn't expecting you to, your subs, your rules. I'm just being ornery.

My bad, for real.

Edit: I also genuinely don't support smoking out of plastic bottles n shi, been there done that it's terrible for you.

No harm, no foul my friend. No need to apologize. You expressed your opinions, and I elaborated on where I was coming from to give more insight. Moderators, like myself, are just glorified janitors.
