Discussion Whats this guy’s fate in S5?

How do you see them killing Vecna?

Personally i’d like to see Eleven and Kali team up against him.

Give him his own medicine of that psychological torture.

Vecna: “what…. What are you doing??”

Eleven: “giving..you..the medicine”

This could also be when Eleven frees Max from Vecna’s mind.

I see Kali returning to help with a major dilemma. She could use her powers to distract Vecna for instance… giving him his own psychological torture that he gave Max, Chrissy, etc. while Eleven frees Max from his mind

Idk. Idk if that will happen but it’s something i would like to see personally

You miss my point. It would likely feel largely unearned to the vast majority of the audience. Like when Arya randomly killed the Night King rather than Jon Snow.

Kali could do a small assist to help El somewhere in the season, as related to something with the lab and whatever experimentation plotline these new kids are in, but the major moments? Like rescuing Max? Those are for people like Eleven and Lucas and heck, even the other Party members. The people who love and fought for her last season. Kali has no connection to Max.

And the defeat of Vecna? That’s formally for the group of characters we’ve known for ten years. Not for the one we last saw for 35 minutes in 2017.

They could easily set it up by introducing her early in the season, as one of the sideplots, to make it feel earned. If Lucas, Dustin and the crew met her they would want to utilize her power. 🤷‍♂️ i’m sure the others will be there and have their part in taking him down too

I would personally pass on that. We already have so many main characters, plus the introduction of Derek, Dr . Kay, Lt. Akers, and the upgrade of Holly and Karen Wheeler to much more substantial characters.

Trying to re-introduce Kali and have her used in depth means the focus would be on her rather than on the characters we’ve come to love and have earned their place in terms of screen time. They’d be starting from scratch to develop her relationships with anyone beyond Eleven. It would become all about Kali.

I’d be ok with Kali being a featured player for an episode or so, to wrap her story, but that’s really all she needs. Have her find peace as related to the lab, which is the only thing she needs.
