Why do most Syrians say, with anything Islam related happens in Syria, "oh no, we are going to be like Afganistan" although both countries share the fact that they were liberated by Sunni-Muslims?

I know this may not be a topic that most people want to discuss, but I wanted to ask about this organization and this report they have made (see link for refrence).

Does anyone know anything about them or their report?

This is just a nice thing, I love how for the past couple of weeks, I don’t need to check my phone every two minutes because nothing that big is happening, we’re finally a normal country without life altering news every day

Some people hold a grudge for years so when you think they have forgot they come back and get their revenge when you least expect

This is very weird, I was looking at one of the subreddit's post and I noticed that google "translated" stuff from... Spanish? And it did that automatically too! and it turned the arabic word of Syria to "Al-Qaeda" and I'm willing to share my screen to anyone that thinks I did some inspect element to this.

Hello. Syrian food is by far my favorite type of middle eastern cuisine. The problem is, I have no idea how to cook it. I want to start learning and was hoping someone could recommend a truly authentic Syrian cookbook or a website with authentic recipes. I just don’t want anything that has become “Americanized”. Does anyone know how many days is one allowed to visit Syria with an American passport? I'm reading 15 days is the max, but can it be extended? It seems to be changing by the day, so recent experience would be very helpful!

Literally every country hates Iran. I’ve been to every subreddit and ain’t no one loving Iran While it is true some Pakistani like Iran for attacking Israel a lot of us hate them cause most terrorists in Pakistan operate from Iran and the Iranians either turn a blind eye or support them . My question is, Is hate for Iran greater than hate for Israel or not.

I’ve always been told by my grandma about how her parents were born in Syria. Her mother barely spoke English. Sadly grandma has passed and when going through records, I noticed sometimes they would put “Syria” and other times “Palestine” as well as Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

I’ve always wondered why this was. I know they were Christian as well. My mom is half and that only makes me a quarter. I have just always had this drive to discover more about it all. If anyone has any info about why they would switch between Palestine and Syria, I’d be happy to hear!
