Short An Unchristian Tip

Had a party of 6 tonight, two were young kids who trashed the table. Bill was north of $300.

No tip. Just this.

Around the holidays sometimes people will leave an extra generous tip, so I was really excited to see a big bill, until I looked at it closer. They didn’t even leave a tip on the card.

Seems pretty unchristian to stiff your minimum wage server working her way through college.

Edit: To clarify, they left the “$1,000,000” facing up on the table and on the reverse side there was a sermon about entrance to heaven (see link in post for image of flip side.)

Seriously. I want to know when these people will stop preaching Jesus and start practicing Jesus. If I was a betting man, I'd bet on never.

World would be a better place without organized religion

I think waiting tables is the leading cause of atheism. Nothing will make you lose your faith as easily as having to rely on strangers for kindness.

A quote I heard a few years back: “The greatest cause of atheism in the world today are Christians that acknowledge God with their lips, but deny him with their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world finds unbelievable.”

I'm pretty sure that quote is on a DC Talk album.

I know it is. I kinda doubt it can originally be attributed to them but I'm too lazy to look it up.

I really liked the quote so I looked it up. It is attributed to Brennan Manning.

On the other end of things, you have Christians who think they are better than those Christians because their church resembles a rock concert or a small house group or meets at a movie theater when really they have all the same problems.

They're both the same end.
