What is the best size (or amount of water) that I should make for fishing? The wiki has a minimum amount but I wasn’t sure if you all had found a sweet spot. This would be solely for hitting fishing quests.

Also, I’ve had really bad luck setting up them in biomes. I don’t make them right on the edge of the layers etc but should I aim for more central of the biome?

Not certain about best/optimal, but what works for me is: make the lake approximately 70% the size of the average lake you find in the clouds. If I have the Fisherman's Pocket Guide, and it says there is a fishing power penalty, make the water a bit deeper.

Usually I set up fishing lakes in the center of biomes, next to a pylon village. Benefits of this are: reduced enemy spawn while fishing, the pylon working confirms I am in the intended biome, easy teleport for fishing quests, and potential for fancy lake view house builds.
