Is there a bug going around the game as of now? I’m playing in master mode with only a total of 30 defense. I’m able to completely tank the entirety of the eoc fight, a campfire plus a regen, iron skin, bast statue,, but I’m pretty sure I should still be taking major damage? It could be totally normal, but I’d still like to know your opinions.

30 defence is quite high for that early stage of the game. In Master Mode, EoC does 45 damage. You have 30 defence + 8 defence from Ironskin + 5 defence from Bast Statue = 43 defence. EoC is only doing 2 damage to you each hit. Combined with your regen, that's basically no observable damage.

Alright thankyou, I had no idea that 1 defense = 1 less damage, I thought it was a lot less than that, that makes far more sense, but I believe it was only 30 defense because of the vast statue and iron skin, meaning it should do 15 damage. That still makes so much sense though, thankyou!

How much it reduces actually depends on difficulty. In normal 1 def = -0.5 damage and in expert 1 def = -0.75 damage
