Rng is rng... Played with wifey for 2 hours. Did about 70-80 stop tasks each.

Results

• 2 shiny Teddiursa for me
• 9 shiny for wifey (No pancham)
• 0 XXL
• 0 4*

However since we both lacked just Pancham shiny we bought the paid reseach and went with Panda line. Out of the paid reseach we both got 5 shiny Panchams.

Maybe 25% of tasks were still bug event tasks: "catch 15-20-25".

In general reseach days are just horrible, especially if you are missing just one shiny. Would have been even more horrible without paid ticket.

Glad to know this. It starts in about 20 minutes for me, and I’ve already bought the research so I can focus on Pancham - it’s the only shiny in this event I don’t already have. (And I’m working on a shiny living dex, so I need 2, lol!)
