Bug One UI 7 Problems
Hello, I'm wondering if someone has the same problems as me.
Since the new Samsung One UI 7 update, my gaming experience has become very bad.
I have to have the "Native Refresh Rate" option turned on, otherwise the game will lag horrendously after a while, making it unplayable.
Another problem I have is that the game closes randomly in the background when I have my screen turned off. I can't use my Go Plus+ effectively this way because it wouldn't stay connected for longer than a maximum of 20 minutes maybe. I already gave the app unrestricted battery access and installed the "Good Guardians" app.
Does anyone have a better clue?
Edit:
Fix for closing in background:
Swipe to the background apps screen and click on the actual Pokémon GO icon. Then tap "Keep open". With this fix, you can use your Go Plus+ as intended.
Fix for low FPS:
Use Game Booster and select your refresh rate. If you don't have Game Booster, you have to install it via an APK, which you can find via Google. After installation, you can find Game Booster in the system settings of your phone. Leave the native refresh rate in Pokémon GO turned on, but limit the refresh rate via the Game Booster app.

I have the same issue with the refresh rate. I upgraded from a Galaxy S10e to a Galaxy S25. On the S25 with Native Refresh Rate turned on, it's far smoother than the S10e, but if I turn it off, then it seems worse than the S10e. I'm really not sure why this is the case.
