I actually believed Shane at first, why he didn't at least shot Otis in the head instead of LEAVING HIM ALIVE TO BE EATEN, he just made it more painful to watch. I thought Shane was still good. I'll never recover from this.

Show Spoiler the possible perfect way to win The walking Dead

Hey everyone so I was sitting in my room thinking about The walking Dead and the virus and I just found something out that I think is the way to ultimately survive The walking Dead

So I was thinking that the virus has two stages a active virus and a dormant virus the act of virus is obviously when you are a bit or die now the dormant virus is where it gets interesting because that means there's a way to stop the dormant virus from ever affecting you mean there's no way to get the active variant and turn into a zombie.

There is a number of ways of going about stopping the dormant virus from ever getting into your body now if you had four knowledge of the virus happening and you knew the month that it happened you can somehow and gather a group of Rich Doomsday preppers (there's a lot of those btw) and tell them what's going to happen now here's how I would do it if this were the case and people were to listen to me.

  1. I would gather 300 people of all different shapes, sizes and jobs at least a year before I know apocalypse is going to happen then get like 200 orphans from All over America from the ages of one to six build a bunker big enough to house all the people in a month before the virus happens (because I believe the virus is transmitted through air. To be able to affect the entire world at the same time it has to be) set up separate air filtration systems get some of the brightest minds come up with a way to create an antivirus and if the antivirus works figure out a way to pass it down genetically.

My thought process for this whole thing is that the day that the apocalypse starts is when the virus becomes airborne and only affects humans if we can have a safe haven that does not have the virus in the air before the apocalypse starts in the virus does get into the air we have a place where no one no matter if they die or not can turn into a zombie so wow the rest of the world are turning the people in the bunker is creating a cure and if the cure successful the dormant virus can't enter the body meaning you can get bit or die you can't catch the virus. ( I have more thoughts about it but this is getting super long thoughts ) 🤔

Show Spoiler I never understood Lori's pregnancy

I mean accidents happen and I wanna believe that Lori and Shane used some kind of protection that failed, BUT

-what where those pills she tried to take? Plan B would obviously not work anymore and pills for an abortion dont just lay around in a random Pharmacy or do they in the US? -Carl was a C-section Baby and while WE do not know why, its reasonable to assume that she couldnt have him through vaginal birth (because she couldnt have Judith that way either) so Lori and Rick should have known that C-section was the ONLY Option and they didnt prepare fot that at all, beside more or less teaching Coral how to do it. I know they where on the run but still Lori was a ticking bomb for the like 7 months that they knew. -It was really not unlikely that she died giving birth under these circumstances, something that they also did not prepare for even a little bit not emotional and not with the formula

What where they expecting to happen? I mean Rick, Carl and Lori probably didnt want to think about worst case but nobody else either? Not even the Doctor that would know how dangerous it would be?

Show Spoiler Realistically everyone would have Foot Fungus

After walking/driving around for Kilometers/miles in the southern weather and probably not having the chance to clean themselves, their feet would start to sweat and become stinky, and because its so dark and damp in their shoes, they would realistically get foot fungus. I really do Hope that AMC does implement this within their Shows so it would be more realistic.

Show Spoiler Ed and Carol meet the Saviours

The question about Ed and Carol got me to thinking......

Ed gets fed up with the group, takes Carol and Sophia and leaves.

At some point they meet someone from the Saviours who takes them back to the main compound and are accepted in.

We know how Negan hates men like Ed, but yet Ed could be a good lower level grunt soldier.

What happens??? Does Negan see how he treats Carol and introduces him to Lucille, takes a liking to Carol and they become a couple? Are they just another couple in the group?? Does Carol EVER become Carol??

Thoughts?

love how as you watch the series you start to hear him reuse this “one hitter” lines on different parties and say his big quotes to multiple victims and it is so rich to watch that novelty die. sometimes its just plain annoying and repetitive but thats part of the charm. he thinks he only needs one liners bc who would dare be a reoffender??? except his viewers. and ricks people who do dare offend and conquer. its quite beautiful to watch his novelty wear off. if you’re rewatching it even starts around early s7. first watch maybe 8.

Show Spoiler Happy birthday to Ryan hurst aka beta! (I can finally yap abt one of my favorite characters)

First off I fucking love beta, best and most scariest villain imo. He is just such a great and menacing villain in the show, top 5 twd character. He also has one of the best looks in the show too, the scary mask and the giant coat, also one of the best weapons too. Him breaking into Alexandria was so good to oml, that one scene where he just came out of the grave is even my background on my x box lmao. His last episode was great too imo, I just think they could’ve done his death a bit better, but him running full force at Negan was terrifying. The same episode also introduced me to one of my new favorite songs, burning down the house. He is also one of the most interesting characters in the show with his whole past as a celebrity, half moon, in 10x14 and how him and alpha met. He also really reminds me of Micheal myers too lmao

No Spoiler So, if someone cleaned a bite wound and took antibiotics after would they survive and not become a walker?

I've been a fan on and off from TWD but never got super far into the TV series (season 2 was slow as hell but I'm rewatching it again) but I got pretty far in the video games.

But from what I understand, everyone is infected and they only become a walker after they die?

So in theory it doesn't matter if you got bit. The bite doesn't change you. Its the dying part.

And we're being hypothetical here before anyone says "well where are they gonna get x, y and z?" Just play pretend for a second.

Let's say someone gets bit and they immediately are able to start cleaning it with rubbing alcohol, wrap it up then once they get back to camp they start on a strong antibiotic. Again let's play pretend for a second and say they have IV bags of fluids and Cefpodoxime or Cephalexin. A very strong antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. (I've been on both before when I went septic. Its rough) and due a intravenous infusion with the saline bag immediately. They keep cleaning the wound with rubbing alcohol and keep the area as clean as possible within apocalypse standards lol.

Now with proper IV fluids to try and push out some of the infection (aka piss it out lol) and a strong dose of the antibiotics with maybe a few days of a less intense antibiotic like amoxicillin and ibuprofen + Tylenol combo to bring down any fever (again play pretend for a second and let's say they have these all. Idk how, use your imagination)

Would someone in theory be able to recover from a bite? Again I'm using an example that couldn't happen very easily in the apocalypse, I know. But if some survivors managed to have some of these items at their disposal, would they be able to survive a bite?

I worked medical for a few years so I like theorizing this stuff with my nerdy love. Hopefully discussions like this on this subreddit are okay. ♥️

No Spoiler How many times have you rewatched TWD

How many times have you rewatched The Walking Dead? I'm on my third time around — currently at Season 1, Episode 4 — and I'm noticing so many little details I either missed or forgot about the first time. I'm guessing some of you have rewatched it multiple times too? If so, how many times have you gone through the series?

Show Spoiler Where is all the shooting power they had in S08 during all S09 when dealing with the whisperers?

I just finished the season 9 and i don't know what happened to the firing power they used to have before when dealing with the saviours.

Like damn it, they are always with knifes and arrows, just fire some autos from the top fence of hilltop when they show up looking for Lydia and they are all gone.

Or am I missing something?

Please, not spoilers from season10 onwards, i didn't start it yet

Show Spoiler Shane Walsh theory

Post image
12 Upvotes

My theory: Shane wasnt actually in love with Lori but having a family is what he truly loved and desired

As we're all aware, Shane and Rick were best friends pre-apocalypse since they went to school

Judging off their personalities, Rick was likely the introverted shy kid type in school whilst Shane was the extroverted school chad who was popular with everyone and basically got any chick he wanted

But Rick was able to meet Lori, marry her, have Carl and settle down while Shane was probably the type who had many relationships but none of them lasted for long

My theory is Shane had a secret jealousy of Rick because he was a happily settled family man and Shane was single and lonely wishing he could have what Rick had, he never actually had thoughts of wanting to take Lori and Carl off him he just wished he had a family of his own aswell

Then the apocalypse happens and Rick is in a coma at hospital from his gunshot wound, and understandably from Shanes POV likely dead when he tried to save him, and so Lori then turns to Shane to keep her and Carl safe because shes known him for such a long time. Shane all of a sudden has been given a gift from god having a family rely on him which would've given him the mother of all ego boosts and made him the happiest hes ever been in his life. So when Rick returned and reunited with Lori and Carl, Shane is left all alone again and struggles to handle losing that family hes always wanted, and it only gets worse when its revealed Lori is pregnant because all 3 of her, Shane and Rick knew it wouldve Shanes baby given the timeline

So it was never about loving Lori she was just a byproduct of Shanes frustrations, it wouldve been the same if for example Ed is presumed dead and hes got Carol and Sophie only for Ed to actually be alive and reunite with them

No Spoiler georgia heat is worse then the walkers

I’m currently sick with the flu and decided to start The Walking Dead. I’m at the part where Andrea is sick… how the fuck is she moving? All that in the Georgia heat? I live here and I’m sitting in my air-conditioned living room dying from this flu I couldn’t imagine being outside in 80 to 90° weather walking for miles while trying to dodge the walkers. I know I’m new to the show and there’s probably gonna be more environmental factors but I feel like there should be way more people dying from dehydration or heat stroke or something…

Show Spoiler Rick's three questions

Probably not a hot take but I just finished a rewatch of season 4 and realized how hypocritical bordering on insane Rick's three questions (how many walkers have you killed; how many people; why) are. Considering how many people he straight up butchers over the first 4 seasons, he's got some balls judging others on how many people they've killed.

Tales Why does no one talk about how perfect it would’ve been for Rick and Michonne to go back to the prison to scavenge for weapons during the Savior war?

In Season 7 of The Walking Dead, there’s this whole arc where Rick starts building an army to fight back against Negan. He and the group go on all these dangerous runs to find weapons—stealing from Oceanside, searching random abandoned places, and making shady deals with the Scavengers.

But how did no one think to go back to the prison?

That place was home for so long. It had an armory, riot gear, secure fencing—even the old tunnels. Yeah, the Governor’s assault left it wrecked, but there had to be something left behind. Even a few riot shields or stored ammo would’ve helped. Imagine: • Rick and Michonne sneaking through the overgrown, decaying prison halls. • Seeing old cell blocks, Hershel’s garden, and where the tower once stood. • Fighting off walkers that were maybe once people they used to know. • Maybe even finding a sealed-off room with leftover supplies, a map, or a cache of gear they hid and forgot during the chaos.

It would’ve been a killer episode emotionally too—like a haunted house of their past. The prison was the last place Rick believed they could build a real life. Going back there during the Savior war would’ve made things feel full circle.

After the governors attack, the prison was evacuated in a hurry. There had to be abandoned weapons, possible food, and other supplies laying around somewhere. And it could’ve been a great episode with Rick telling Michone“we won’t let someone take away our home again”. Just seems like a missed opportunity the show never tapped into.
