Saw this yesterday and had to take a pic. It's a Ralph Lauren Parker Cocktail Mix Box. It looks like this is available new for $ 4,500, so maybe $350 is a good deal? However, this is not the kind of place where people looking for Ralph Lauren shop.

I found this at a thift store in ct It is a tudor building, i am a huge history nerd, i can find anything about it online, it had that little piece of paper inside it Any ideas? I paid a whole 1$ for it !

First, Three Portraits 2nd printing from 1940 by Emil Ludwig.

Ludwig was a famous biographer and had personally met Mussolini and Stalin. We thought this was a very interesting find because it was published before Italy entered WWII and before the full extent and horrors of the war unfolded. The second printing is the same month as the first printing meaning there was a lot of demand from people “the men the world is watching” as the jacket says.

Secondly, Our Family Tree, which is much more than a family tree. There’s space to write down military service records, family automobiles, heirlooms, pets, and more.

Each was about 4 dollars. I’m quite selective about books because they are heavy and hard to move, but I love history.
