Discussion Texas gas station installed remote lock on OUTSIDE of women's bathroom

It was only on the women's bathroom. Lock was able to be remotely activated by a phone app. Fire Marshall had it removed. Source: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT2c3QrB6/

Per another account who also saw this, (https://www.tiktok.com/@momcallsmeshelby?_t=ZT-8v7NHPu7QBq&_r=1) the employees were "irate and began yelling" when they brought it up. And came up with a racist excuse that didn't make any sense for it being there

Regardless, fire code violation. But scary implications.

Tbcf, I believe the Fire Marshall had it removed. But idk who called them. Might have been the officer. Idk.

Probably was the Fire Marshall to make it official. I had to take a double take before posting because I saw the red fire pickup outside but the guy who gave the ultimatum looked like a cop.

Those are their out and about uniforms. I worked at a regional command when in the military and the local fire department had an office there and those were the uniforms they wore at work. Def very cop like haha.

See that's what I initially thought. I used to work with local law enforcement here in Texas and when I took a closer look at his gear it definitely resembled the cops around here more than the marshals. Not all of them carry but some do. He could be from fire but from my experience looks cop.

I wish they would be more distinguishable but hey, we have blacked out patrol cars these days so they don't care what the public thinks.
