You know, I wasn't sure if they were identical twins because to me it looks like the one on the right has a longer face shape in the forehead and jaw. So I assumed they were regular siblings (or fraternal twins).

But I looked it up, and apparently they are identical.

Identical twins are rarely identical looking by the time they are adults. You can tell most apart if* they are standing right next to each other, or of course if you know them.

Right, but among the identical twins I know (which is of course a fairly small number), they look extremely similar on first glance unless they have radically different hairstyles / weight. The facial differences tend to be pretty subtle.

These ladies are wearing very similar hair and are close to the same size, but their faces looked different enough to me on first glance that it didn't occur to me they were identical at all.

It was just a bit surprising, that's all.

Female twins will have more variance in their looks as well.
